Objective: because of the low partial pressure of oxygen in the high altitude area, the level of HB in the people living in the high altitude area for a long time is higher than that in the plain area.By comparing the correlation between HbA1c and HB and the influencing factors of HbA1c under different HB levels, the paper provides a reference basis for HbA1c as the cutting point for the diagnosis of DM.Participants and methods: a total of 430 non-DM adult males aged 18-65 years were randomly collected from September 2015 to December 2017 in the affiliated Hospital of Qinghai University.Living altitude was 2500-4000 m residence time ≥ 3 months.According to different HB levels,we divided into four groups: H1 group(102 cases): low hemoglobin group(HB < 120 g / L);H 2 group(106 cases): normal hemoglobin group(120 g / l ≤ HB < 160 g / L);H3 group(120case):hemoglobin increased group(160 g / l ≤ HB < 210 g / L);H4group(102case):HAPC group(HB ≥ 210 g / l).To investigate the correlation between HbA1c and HB and the influencing factors of HbA1c under different HB levels. Results :(1)HbA1c was positively correlated with HbA1c.The main influencing(2)factors of HbA1c were FPG、HB、BMI(P < 0.05).(3)The levels of HB were different, and the influencing factors of HbA1c were different. When HB was lower than 120 g / l,HbA1c was positively correlated with age、BMI and the difference was statistically significant;the main influencing factor of HbA1c was FPG、BMI when 120 g / l≤HB <160g / l(P <0.05);when 160 g / l≤HB <210g / l,the influence factors of HbA1c is FPG(P <0.05);when HB≥210g / l,HbA1c was mainly affected by age FPG and BMI,HbA1c was positively correlated with them, the difference was statistically significant. Conclusion: the influence of age and HB should be taken into account when Hb A1c is used as a diagnostic or evaluation criterion for diabetes mellitus.
