Objective To study the changes between thyroid-stimulating hormone(TSH)and serum total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG)during different gestation periods with hypothyroidism,to analyze the relationship between them. Methods The pregnant women visited the antenatal clinic of the General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University from January 2013 to December 2016.Screening the pregnancy with hypothyroidism as case group,132 cases, accounting for 29.7% of the subjects, and the normal pregnancy as control group,313 cases, accounting for 70.3% of the subjects. In the case group, according to the gestation periods when the pregnant women were diagnosed with hypothyroidism at the first time, the pregnant women investigated were divided into the first trimester of pregnancy(G1-G12w),25 cases, accounting for 18.9% of the case group. The second trimester of pregnancy(G3w-G27w)cases had 90,accounting for 68.2% of the case group. In the third trimester(G28-G40w)cases had 17,accounting for 12.9% of the case group. In the control group, according to the gestation periods when the pregnant women tested thyroid function test and excluded thyroid related diseases at the first time, the pregnant women investigated were divided into the first trimester of pregnancy,14 cases, accounting for 4.5% of the control group,The second trimester of pregnancy cases had 196,accountingfor 62.6% of the control group. In the third trimester cases had 103 cases of late pregnancy, accounting for 32.9% of the control group. To compare the differ of TC and TG in the two groups during different pregnancy periods, and to study the correlation between TC,TG and TSH in different pregnancy periods.Result Compared with the control group, the TSH level in the case group was significantly higher, and the difference was statistically significant. The TSH level in the first and second trimester of the case group was higher than that in the control group, especially in the second trimester. There was no significant difference in TSH levels in the third trimester between the two groups. There was no significant difference in TC levels between the two groups in the first trimester and third trimester, while the TC level in the case group was significantly higher than that in the control group during the second trimester, and the difference was statistically significant. The TG levels has not statistically significant difference between the middle and third trimesters in the two group. Conclusion There was no difference in TG levels between pregnant women with hypothyroidism and normal pregnant women. However,During the second trimester TC levels in the case group increased significantly than the control case, pregnancy with hypothyroidism mainly affected the progress of TC metabolism.
