| Objective: To explore the expression of JMJD1 A and its correlation with clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis in pediatric neuroblastoma. Methods: EliVision immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of JMJD1 A in 51 paraffin embedded pediatric neuroblastoma specimens. The correlation of JMJD1 A expression with the clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis of pediatric neuroblastoma was analyzed by Kaplan-Meier and Cox regression. Results: Positive expression ratio of JMJD1 A in 51 pediatric neuroblastoma was54.90%(28/51);The expression ratios of JMJD1 A in neuroblastoma and ganglioneuroblastoma were 65.71%(23/35)and 31.25%(5/16),there was subtle difference in different pathological subtypes(P=0.034);The expression ratios of JMJD1 A in undifferentiated neuroblastoma patients and poorly differentiated neuroblastoma patients were 85.71%(6/7)and 72.73%(16/22),their expression ratios of JMJD1 A were significantly higher than the expression ratio of JMJD1 A in differentiated neuroblastoma patients(16.67%,1/6)(P=0.004);There was no significant correlation between iGNB′s expression ratio of JMJD1 A and nGNB′expression ratio of JMJD1A(P>0.05);The expression ratio of JMJD1 A in neuroblastoma with tumor-metastasis(86.67%,13/15)was significantly higher than that in neuroblastoma without tumor-metastasis(41.67%,15/36)(P=0.005);The expression ratio of JMJD1 A in INSS stage3 and 4 neuroblastoma patients(100%,100%)was significantly higher than that in INSS stage 1 and 2 neuroblastoma patients(34.48%,50%)(P=0.002);Kaplan-Merier analysis revealed that there was significant correlation between tumor-metastasis(P=0.003),INSS(P=0.002)and JMJD1 A expression(P=0.000),neuroblastoma patients with a higher expression ratio of JMJD1 A had a poorer progression free survival;Cox regression indicated that the expression of JMJD1 A was not a marker of favorable prognosis in pediatric neuroblastoma(P = 0.933).Conclusion: There was significant correlation between JMJD1 A expression and pathological subtypes,tumor-metastasis and INSS in pediatric neuroblastoma;Expression of JMJD1 A is significantly correlated with the prognosis of neuroblastoma, pediatric neuroblastoma with a higher expression of JMJD1 A had a poorer prognosis;the expression of JMJD1 A was not a marker of favorable prognosis in pediatric neuroblastoma. |
