Objective: To measure the level of plasma visfatin,fasting insulin,fasting blood glucose and other indicators in GDM patients and normal pregnant women in different gestational age;to analyze the relationship between visfatin and change of gestational age and how the level of visfatin changes in GDM patients and normal pregnant women;To explore the clinical significance of visfatin in gestational diabetes mellitus.Methods: The OGTT test was performed onwomen with 24~26 weeks of pregnancy in Jiangwan Hospital of Shanghai Hongkou District from January 2017 to August 2017.According to the test results,30 patients with GDM were selected as the study group and 30 patients with normal OGTT pregnant woman as control group.Two groups of patients in the 24-26 gestational weeks,31-33 weeks,38-40 weeks were measured for plasma Visfatin,fasting insulin,fasting blood glucose and calculated insulin resistance index.And we compared the difference of plasma Visfatin between GDM and normal pregnancy group in three different gestation periods.We also analyzed the correlation between plasma Viscatin andinsulin resistance index.Results:1.In the control group,the level of plasma Visfatin increased with the increase of gestational age(P<0.01).2.In the study group,the level of plasma Visfatin increased with the increase of gestational age(P<0.01).3.In the 24-26 pregnant week,the level of plasma Visfatin of study group was significantly higher than that of control group,there was significant difference(P<0.01).In the 31-33 gestational weeks and 38-40 weeks,there were no statistical difference between the two groups(p>0.05)4.The level of Visfatin plasma in 24-26 pregnant week had significant positive correlation withthe insulin resistance index of 31-33 gestational weeks and 38-40 gestational weeks(coefficient r were 0.525 and 0.619 respectively,P<0.01).Conclusion: the level of plasma Visfatin at 24-26 gestational weeks has certain clinical value in the diagnosis of gestational diabetes mellitus,and is related to insulin resistance in late pregnancy.Further study of plasma Visfatin at 24-26 gestational weeks is beneficial to the prediction and evaluation of diabetes mellitus,and provides a new theory for the diagnosis and treatment of GDM.
