Over the past few years, the relationship between doctors and patients has become increasingly tense. The "doctor injuries and murders" incidents have surfaced from time to time, which has aroused widespread concern in the whole society.Trust is the moral foundation of modern market economy, which is of great significance for social stability and harmony of various relationships. The crisis of trust between doctors and patients has been intensifying. As a consequence,it not only has induced the rise of conflicts between doctors and patients, but also has disrupted the normal order of the medical service industry. The doctor-patient relationship crisis is selected as the research object in the paper.Adopting the methods of literature research and empirical research, the paper involves an instance analysis of the root causes of the crisis of doctor-patient relationship, based on the medical personnel, inpatients and outpatients of H Hospital in Hebei Province as respondents. The advent of doctor-patient relation crisis could be attributed to multiple causes, including the imperfect medical system, low professional ethics and moral integrity of medical personnel, commercialization of medical industry, mutual distrust due to insufficient communication between doctors and patients and the misinformation of part of the media.Subsequently, aiming at the concrete root causes of the crisis of doctor-patient relationship, some constructive measures are proposed in the paper, namely strengthening relevant legislative constraints, reinforcing the professional ethics of medical personnel, striving to expand the communication channels for doctors and patients and enhancing the mutual trust between doctors and patients, and providing guidance for positive publicity of media. All these afore-said countermeasures are of great practical significance for the elimination of the crisis of doctor-patient relations and maintenance of social stability and harmony.
