Objective: To investigate the relationship among the levels of serum omentin-1 and its correlation with TNF-a,VEGF and ET-1 among the acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,stable patients and healthy adults.Methods: 30 patients with acute exacerbation of COPD and 30 patients with follow-up stable outpatients were enrolled from July 2015 to July 2016 in Longgang Central Hospital,Shenzhen.30 patients with normal lung function and same age were enrolled in the control group,The age,sex and the lung function were recorded.The levels of serum omentin-1,TNF-a,VEGF and ET-1 were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).SPSS software was used to compare among the differences groups,and analysis of their relevance.Results: 1.There was no statistically difference in sex and age among the three groups(P> 0.05),and the decrease of FEV1 in lung function was statistically significant.2.The level of serum omentin-1 in the acute group was(35.10 ± 4.83)ng-1,the level of serum omentin-1 in the stable group was(40.13 ± 4.34)ng-1,the level of serum omentin-1in the healthy control group was(51.90 ± 5.73)ng · ml-1,and there was statistically difference between the three groups.3.The level of serum TNF-a in the acute group was(570.84±75.71)pg·ml-1,the level of serum TNF-a in the stable group was(370.63±61.80)pg·ml-1,the level of serum TNF-a in the healthy control group was(321.08±58.53)pg·ml-1,and there was statistically difference between the three groups.4.The level of serum VEGF in the acute group was(193.81±18.53)pg·ml-1,the level of serum VEGF in the stable group was(162.94±14.90)pg·ml-1,the level of serum VEGF in the healthy control group was(151.90±18.29)pg·ml-1,and there was statistically difference between the three groups.5.The level of serum ET-1 in the acute group was(134.00±15.47)pg·ml-1,the level of serum ET-1 in the stable group was(100.70±11.69)pg·ml-1,the level of serum ET-1 in the healthy control group was(92.14±15.23)pg·ml-1,There was no statistically difference between the healthy control group and the stable group(P = 0.067> 0.05),The difference between the other groups was statistically significant.6.There was a negative correlation between omentin-1 and TNF-a(r=-0.633),no significant correlation between omentin-1 and VEGF,ET-1 in the acute group.There was a negative correlation between omentin-1 and TNF-a(r=-0.614),no significant correlation between omentin-1 and VEGF,ET-1 in the stable group.Conclusion:(1)The level of serum omentin-1 in COPD patients was decreased and negatively correlated with the increase of TNF-a level,which may be involved in the chronic inflammatory process of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.(2)The decrease of serum omentin-1 and the elevated levels of VEGF and ET-1 in COPD patients may be involved in pulmonary vasoconstriction and endothelial cell dysfunction through different mechanisms.
