Comparative Effectiveness Between Laparoscopic Surgery And Open Surgery Resection For Colorectal Cancer

Objective Comparative effectiveness between laparoscopic surgery and open surgery resection for colorectal cancer.Methods Clinical data of 138 patients who received colorectal cancer radical resection from 2013 to 2014.According to radical resection,into laparoscopic surgery group(LG)and open surgery group(OG).The laparoscopic surgery group was 101 cases,37 cases of open surgery.Intraoperative blood,the number of dissected lymph nodes,postoperative complications,surgical specimens status,time for dieting,postoperative hospital stay,medical expenses and two year cancer-free survival rate after surgery were studied.Results LG group intraoperative blood(106.4±92.3)ml,OG group intraoperative blood(238.4±163.4)ml,(P <0.05);LG group the number of dissected lymph nodes(23.7±7.0),OG group the number of dissected lymph nodes(19.4±4.8),(P <0.05);LG group postoperative complications(10/101),OG group postoperative complications(10/37),(P <0.05);LG group time for dieting(2.6±1.2)d,OG group time for dieting(4.6±1.4)d,(P <0.05);LG group postoperative hospital stay(13.0±6.6)d,OG group postoperative hospital stay(16.0±8.1)d,(P <0.05),LG group medical expenses(53073.0±8962.4)RMB,OG Group medical expenses(43503.5±8084.5)RMB,(P <0.05).The above mentioned results significant difference between the two groups of patients(P <0.05).but surgical specimens positive rate and two year cancer-free survival rate after surgery,results has no significant difference between the two groups of patients.(P =0.05)Conclusion Laparoscopic surgery have the same effects with open surgery,but laparoscopic surgery with less trauma,less bleeding,more lymph nodes,taking food earlier after operation,shorter hospital stay and so on,which can be widely used for colorectal cancer treatment.
