| Most of the advanced medical resources in China are allocated in larger-scale hospitals,therefore the 3A hospitals are often several times of other hospitals in the volume of accepting patients.Therefore,the amount of outpatient visits in large-scale hospitals especially the tertiary hospitals is several times of that of other hospitals.The long-period of time in making appointments,receiving examination,waiting for the results and making payments and the short time in consultation of doctors are the common phenome.Among which,queuing up and making payments is done by patients or their family members with the maximum frequency,seriously negatively influenced by the long queue and also being the most hated by patients.Process optimization of this link shall significantly improve the quality of health care service and the working efficiency of hospital.This paper targeted at the bank-issuing medical card at one 3A hospital and analyzed the traditional procedures of outpatient visits.A system of bank-issuing medical card was designed and developed.This bank-issuing medical card system has excellent user interface,convenient operation and smooth running of various functions.Besides,the desired and designed functions could smoothly run,which to certain degree could alleviate the problems of Three Longs and One Short occurred in patient seeing a doctor.The system is capable of continuously and stably running in the practical circumstance.The bank-issuing medical card therein fully takes advantages of the functions and applications of the existing information system at the hospitals,allows the bank card held by patients to be registered and become the patient ID card for medical diagnosis and treatment.The relevant technologies were used to achieve the settlement and communication between bank and hospital,to effectuate the self-service settlement of the medical payments by patients.including the management of card-issuing,of registration,of making payments,of checking the medical information and of printing the results of examination.The communication between self-service terminal and hospital information system,the timely settlement between hospital information system and banking system were achieved. |
