ObjectivesTo investigate the cognitive status of diabetes nutritional management of community nurses and non-endocrinology nurses in Qingdao and to analyze the factors.To provide scientific basis for relevant departments to improve community nurses and non-endocrinology nurses’ cognitive level of diabetes nutritional management.MethodsBased on the literature review and experts interview to establish the questionnaire framework.And to develop diabetes nutritional management through Delphi method.Using the convenience sampling method and the questionnaire,189 community nurses from 65 different Community Health Centers and 333 non-endocrinology nurses from eight different hospitals in Qingdao city were selected to join in the survey from November 2015 to March 2016.SPSS17.0 was used to input the data and weight the raw data to conduct statistical analyze,including single factor analysis and Multiple step-wise regression analysis.Results1.Two round consultants positive coefficients were both 100%;expert authority coefficient was 0.89;the coordination coefficient of two indicators were 0.346,0.261(P<0.05).Finally,established diabetes nutritional management involve seven basic dimensions and 56 entries.2.The community nurses’ cognition level of diabetes nutritional management was low.The questionnaire’ overall weight score was(41.79±11.13).Through the single factor analysis,the four variables include: academic title(P<0.001),whether or not to accept a degree in continuing education(P<0.001),whether or not to study the course of diabetes diet management during school(P<0.001),whether or not to accept the professional training of diet management(P<0.001).Multiple step-wise regression analysis showed that the final three variables get into the regression equation,involved whether or not to accepta degree in continuing education(P<0.001),whether or not to study the course of diabetes diet management during school(P<0.001),whether or not to accept the professional training of diet management(P<0.001).3.The non-endocrinology nurses’ cognition level of diabetes nutritional management was low.The questionnaire’ overall weight average score was(48.82±15.52).Through the single factor analysis,the six variables include:academic title(P<0.001),work experience,educational level(P=0.003),whether or not to accept a degree in continuing education(P<0.001),whether or not to study the course of diabetes diet management during school(P=0.014),whether or not to attend a diet management meeting(P=0.032).Multiple step-wise regression analysis showed that the final four variables get into the regression equation(P=0.002),involved work experience,educational level(P<0.001),whether or not to accept a degree in continuing education(P=0.015),whether or not to study the course of diabetes diet management during school(P<0.001).Conclusions1.The reliability of the questionnaire is high,which provides a scientific evaluation tool for the further investigation of the current situation of nursing staff in Qingdao.2.The community nurses’ cognition level of diabetes nutritional management was low.The community nurses should actively participate in continuing education and diabetes diet management training.The relevant departments should accelerate the implementation of the diabetes diet management knowledge get into the nursing curriculum.To improve the community nurses’ cognition level.3.The non-endocrinology nurses’ cognition level of diabetes nutritional management was low.The non-endocrinology nurses should actively participate in continuing education and improve their academic level.The relevant departments should accelerate the implementation of the diabetes diet management knowledge get into the nursing curriculum.To improve the non-endocrinology nurses’ cognition level and the nursing service quality. |
