Clinical Efficacy Observation Of Electric Stone Needle Therapy On Treating Wind Cold Dampness Type Of Frozen Shoulder

Background:Scapulohumeral periarthritis is also called "Fifty shoulder" or"leakage shoulder wind" in the traditional chinese medicine science,and more frequently occurs in the elderly group at about 50 years old,of which females are in the majority.Scapulohumeral periarthritis is a kind of adhesive capsulitis which could make the glenohumeral joints stiff.The Main symptomsare are as followings:the shoulder joints and their peripheral area are painful;The active and passive activities of shoulder joints are decreased in all directions.And there is almost no obvious abnormal signs according to imageological examination.The disease is a common and frequently occurring disease in Department of orthopedics.The treatment of Western medicine is mainly symptomatic analgesia and the improvement of the functions of joints,including oral or local drug injection and surgical treatment.While the traditional Chinese treatments mostly adopt non-operative therapy,and quite rich in variety.In all the traditional Chinese medicine treatments,the curative effect of traditional acupuncture on the scapulohumeral periarthritis is highly recognized by the doctors and the patients.Acupuncture therapy in the treatment of alleviating the pains,releasing the conglutination improving the quality of life of the patients is with no doubt.The electric heating temperature iron stone needle therapy is a new method for treating frozen shoulder and obtains a great effect in treating orthopedics disease in the recent years.lt can improve the function of shoulder joints and alleviate the pains of the patiets in the treating of frozen shoulder.Objective:By observing the UCLA score changes during 1 year of follow-up of both electric heating temperature iron stone needle therapy and acupuncture therapy in the treatment of wind cold dampness type shoulder clotting disease,to compare the therapeutic effects of the two methods in improving the pain,daily functional activities,flexion movement,muscle strength and satisfaction and clarify the clinical curative effect of electric heating temperature iron stone needle therapy for frozen shoulder of the wind cold dampness type.Methods:Using 60 standard wind cold dampness type shoulder coagulation disorder patients cases collected from October in 2015 to January in 2016 in Wang Jing hospital of CACMS in the second section office of joints,according to the time sequence of the patients entering the study and by adopting the method of random number table,the patients are divided into experimental group and control group at the proportion of 1:1.The experimental group use electric iron stone needle temperature treatment,while the control group using traditional acupuncture treatment,and both of the two groups are treated strictly in accordance with the treatment plan.And all the patients were followed up before March 2017.To test its safety and compare the changes of UCLA scores in the 1 year follow-up.After collecting of clinical datas,Excel is adopted to establish the database.Statistical methods:SPSS 24.0 statistical software was used to complete the statistical analysis.Measurement data using t test samples,Comparison of measurement data of themselves using paired t test and Chi square test was used for enumeration data.Normal distribution data were expressed as mean and standard deviation.The non normal distribution data were analyzed by natural logarithm.Result:1 The patients of the two groups showed no significant difference(p>0.05)in age,gender distribution,and UCLA score before treatment.The groups were comparable.2 The electric needle group and the acupuncture group both has significant differences in the degree of improvement of UCLA scores in 1 year follow-up(p<0.05);The difference between the two groups is statistically significant in the different time periods in the follow-up period of 1 years(p<0.05).3 Both electric heating temperature iron stone needle therapy and acupuncture therapy at treating shoulder coagulation disorder had obvious analgesic effect in the follow-up period of 1 years(p<0.05).There was a significant difference between the two groups too(p<0.05).4 Both electric heating temperature iron stone needle therapy and acupuncture therapy can obviously improve the shoulder coagulation syndrome concern about the activities of the function(p<0.05).There was significant difference between the two groups in the improvement of shoulder joint function in the 6 months after the treatment(p<0.05),while had no difference in the following 6 months(p>0.05).5 The two groups had different degrees of improvement in flexion activity score,muscle strength score and satisfaction score after treatment(p<0.05).While there was no difference between the two groups at different time in the follow-up period of 1 years(p>0.05).Conclusion:1 Both electrically heated stone needle therapy and traditional acupuncture therapy are effective to treat the wind cold dampness type of frozen shoulder.Both of the two treatments can ease painfulness、improve joints’ mobility and muscle strength、satisfy the patients.2 Electrically heated stone needle therapy is obviously superior to traditional acupuncture therapy on its comprehensive curative effect,especially in the analgesic effect and on improving shoulder joints’ mobility.3 Electrically heated stone needle therapy is quite safe and easy to implement and has no adverse reaction,which is also suitable for further popularization and application.
