Exploration On Risk Factors Of Carotid Atherosclerostic Plaque Formation And Stability

Objective:Screening the carotid artery by ultrasonic to discussing the risk factors of carotid plaque and the influencing of the plague’s stability.Methods:Color Doppler ultrasound carotid cases of one hundred and fifty patients,tested ninty-two patients with carotid artery plaque.Using logistic regression model,the odds ratios(OR)of statistically significant variables for carotid plaque were calculated and used to assess various variables,especially the risk of carotid artery plaque formation.Grouped according to whether carotid artery plaque formation.And grouped to stable plaque and unstable plaque,draw some statistically significant indicators by multi-factor Logistic regression analysis.Results:Through single factor regression analysis of carotid artery plaque,draw a conclusion that age,hypertension,diabetes mellitus,triglyceride(TC),low density lipoprotein(LDL)and C-reactive protein(CRP)all closely related to formation of carotid artery plaque.And through multi-factor regression analysis of carotid artery plaque,draw a conclusion that age,hypertension and diabetes mellitus are independent risk factor of carotid plaque(P<0.05).At the same time drawing the odds ratios(OR)from high to low in the order: diabetes mellitus(OR:4.842),age(OR: 0.946),hypertension(OR: 0.542).The odds ratios of diabetes mellitus was the highest,illustrating the people with diabetes have the highest risk of carotid artery plaque.By the multi-factor regression analysis,draw a conclusion that C-reactive protein was the risk factor of carotid artery plaque stability.And though the method of spearsman correlation analysis,come to the conclusion that C-reactive protein was positively related to the stability of carotid artery plaque(correlation coefficient:0.734,P:0.000).That is to say the higher C-reactive protein,the more unstable carotid artery plaque.Conclusion:The Color Doppler Ultrasonic of carotid artery plaque will be a ”window” to reflect the degree of carotid artery atherosclerosis on account of a lot of advantages,such as: noninvasion,inexpensive,convenient and easy to repeat.Screening carotid artery plaque and analyzing the stability will guide us to discussing the risk factors of causing carotid artery plaque,combined with clinical and the laboratory indexes.And it will also help us to indirect assessment the potential risk of cardiovascular disease and reduce events.
