Objective:To observe the effect of subacromial injection of ropivacaine on postoperative pain in patients under shoulder arthroplasty.Method:Thirty-two patients with rotator cuff injury treated by shoulder arthroscopy in ourthe department of orthopaedics in Yijishan Hospital from October 2015 to March 2017.The all patients were randomly divided into observation group and control group(n=16).The patients in observation group was injected with 10 ml of ropivacaine subacromial injection after the shoulder arthroplasty, and the patients in control group was injected with 10 ml normal saline in the same site. The visual acuity pain score(VAS)and the Chinese Shoulder Function Score table were used to estimate the pain and shoulder joint function recovery, and the incidence of adverse reactions were recorded.Result:(1)The VAS scores of the observation group and the control group were(3.3 ± 0.8)and(4.5 ± 0.7)points respectively, and the average degree of pain in the observation group was lower than the control group in 48 hours after the injection. Two groups of patients with resting pain was relieved after 3 days,VAS score all lower than 5 points, there was not statistically significant.(2)The pain VAS scores of the observation group were(4.2 ± 0.8)points,(5.0 ± 0.9)points at 24 h and 48 h,lower than the control group’s(5.2 ± 0.9)points,(5.9 ± 0.7)points,there was statistically significant. However, there was no statistically significant difference in pain between the two groups after 3 days.(3)There was no significant difference in the CSFS between the two groups(P> 0.05),but there was significant difference than the Preoperative patients.(4)All patients in the two groups had not serious adverse reactions after surgery, the most common reaction were nausea and vomit, and the difference of incidence was no significant difference. Conclusion:The subacromial injection of ropivacaine after shoulder arthroplasty can reduce the pain in patients with early postoperative pain, especially during active pain, and the patients have no severe adverse reactions that can affect the patient’s shoulder function recovery. It’s a simple, safe, effective and convenient analgesic program worthy to popularization.
