Objective This study aims to observe and evaluate the curative effect of balance acupuncture combined Traditional Chinese medicine fumigation treatment on postoperative pain after rotator cuff injury with qi stagnancy and blood stasis, and provide clinical evidence for the treatment of this disease.MethodsA total of 60 eligible patients who were treated with rotator cuff injury after arthroscopic rotator cuff repair in the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology of Zhangzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated to Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2021 to October 2022 were selected.A random number table was used to divided the patients into the experimental group and the control group, and both groups were given basic treatment such as postoperative anti-infection,routine rehabilitation training. The control group was given Traditional Chinese medicine fumigation treatment 2 weeks after operation;while on the basis of Traditional Chinese medicine fumigation treatment in the control group, the experimental group was added balance acupuncture treatment after operation. The shoulder VAS score、UCLA score and CMS score was recorded between the two groups before operation and in the 4th,and 8th week after operation, and the curative effect was compared in the 8th week after operation.Statistical analysis was performed on the collected data using SPSS 26.0 statistical software.Results1.There was no significant difference between the two groups of patients in terms of gender, age, affected side and course of the disease(P>0.05)and the two groups were comparable.2.There was no significant difference in the VAS score,UCLA score and CMS score of affec-ted shoulder between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).3.VAS score: The VAS score was compared within the two groups before operation and in the 4th and 8th week after operation, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The VAS score was compared between the two groups in the 4th and 8th week after operation, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).4.UCLA score: The UCLA score was compared within the two groups before operation and in the 4th and 8th week after operation, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The UCLA score was compared between the two groups in the 4th and 8th week after operation, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).5.CMS score: The CMS score was compared within the two groups before operation and in the 4th and 8th week after operation, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The CMS score was compared between the two groups in the 4nd and 8th week after operation, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).6.Curative effect: The two groups of patients were analyzed in the 8th week after operation for the improvement of shoulder symptoms: control group: the total effective rate was 86.67%;Experimental group: the total effective rate was 93.33%;There was a statistical difference in the total effective rate between the two groups(P=0.038 < 0.05),and the total effective rate of the experimental group was better than that of the control group.7.Analysis of adverse reactions: During the treatment period,1 patient in the experimental group suffered from acupuncturing sickness, and the patient decided to participate in the remaining treatment after taking effective treatment measures. There were few adverse reactions in the two groups.ConclusionsThe effect of balance acupuncture combined Traditional Chinese medicine fumigation treatment and Using Traditional Chinese medicine fumigation alone on relieving postoperative pain after rotator cuff injury with qi stagnancy and blood stasis is curative. The treatment is conducive to early functional exercise of shoulder joints after arthroscopic rotator cuff repair. The clinical efficacy of balance acupuncture combined Traditional Chinese medicine fumigation treatment is better than that of Traditional Chinese medicine fumigation alone. |
