The Study For The Quality Of Life And Related Factors In Caregivers Of Cancer Patients

By investigating the quality of life of caregivers of cancer patients,to explore the main influencing factors of quality of life,and to use the social work professional methods to take appropriate intervention measures to reduce the pressure on cancer patients caregivers,to form the the social support chain and to construct the caregiver social support network,based on the community and using a variety of methods to establish a community and home care system.At the same time to find a suitable China’s national conditions of the development of medical social work under the context of medical reform,to further explore the social work profession in patients with caregivers of the path and breakthrough.Using quantitative research and qualitative research combined approach,166 Caregivers of cancer patients from Shaanxi Provincial Tumor Hospital,Shaanxi Provincial People’s Hospital,Shangluo Central Hospital were included.SF-36 was used to measure the quality of life for the caregivers,as the situation of the caregivers the questionnaires was used.Statistical analysis using SPSS 19.0 package is complete,basic data of general description of patient caregivers using mean,standard deviation,composition ratio and frequency index.The QOL in various of the difference using t text and univariate analysis.A purposive sample was used,to select the caregiver who is actively involved in the daily activities of the caregiver group of cancer patients.According to the interview outline,using the unstructured interviews to understand the patient caregiver situation.In this study,caregivers included 51 males and 115 females.SF-36 quality of life was investigated for 166 patient caregivers,the scores of each dimension are compared with the reference value of norm in China,in the physical function,bodily pain,overall health,vitality,mental health dimensions are lower than the norm reference value,having statistically significant.Caregiver sex,age,presence of chronic disease and education have a direct impact on quality of life,family economic conditions and care time also have an indirect impact.Qualitative study interviewed to 20 patient caregivers,according to the interview,it was learned that the whole care process had both positive and negative effects on the caregiver.This study investigated the basic situation of cancer caregivers,analyzing the factors that affect the quality of life.Caregivers sex,age,educational level,duration of care,chronic illnesses and economic conditions have a significant impact on the quality of life of caregivers,major caregivers face more stress,aging,suffering from chronic diseases has become a risk factor.At the same time caregivers respond to stress and difficult ways,to a certain extent can be converted into a way to improve the quality of life,a process of enrichment.
