Background: Partial toe-nail flap combined with autogenous iliac,neighboring island flap is a method of thumb reconstruction,.It involves three self organizations,including autologous partial toe-nail flap,autogenous iliac and neighboring island flap.The main indications of this method include----II,III degree defect of thumb and thumb degloving injury of the same degree.Purpose: This follow-up aims at the long-term efficacy of the treatment,and discuss the advantages and disadvantages.Methods: We used the method of partial toe-nail flap combined with autogenous iliac,neighboring island flap to reconstruct thumbs for 8patients among 2006-2016 in our hospital,and observes the survival situation,the recovery of function,appearance of reconstructing thumbs,and foot complications.Results: 7 patients are connected,1 patient lost during the follow-up,with an average follow-up time of 47.6 months,equal to about 4 years.The reconstructing thumbs all survive,and we found that the appearance and function are remarkable,autologous tissue donor area shows good recovery,few complications on foot,thus this method had no obvious side-effect on life.Conclusion:The method of partial toe-nail flap combined with autogenous iliac,neighboring island flap reconstructing thumb is a method with satisfied effect and high feasibility.
