Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Knee Osteoarthritis With Decoction Of The Orthopaedic External Washing And Yunnanbaiyao Tincture

Objective:To evaluate the clinical curative effect objective that decoction of the orthopaedic external washing and Yunan baiyao tincture on the treatment of knee osteoarthritis.To clarify the clinical features and advantages of decoction of the orthopaedic external washing in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis,to provide evidence-based medical basis for its clinical application,and to inherit the experience of the instructor.Method:Using the clinical observation method,all the subjects were outpatients from Frist Affiliated Hospital of Yunnan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.According to the inclusion criteria and the selection criteria,70 cases were selected and divided into treatment group and control group(35 cases)by random number table.The treatment group used decoction of the orthopaedic external washing and Yunnan baiyao tincture,the control group used warm water and Yunnan baiyao tincture,2 times a day,use it once respectively each morning and evening,two weeks for a course of treatment.Two courses total.The VAS,WOMAC osteoarthritis index and the 20-meters walking time were used to grasp the clinical efficacy,improvement of symptoms and recovery function of decoction of the orthopaedic external washing.Result:There was no significant difference in sex,age,course of disease,limb and infusion scores between the treatment group and the control group(P> 0.05).The baseline of the test group and the control group before treatment was consistent,comparable and reliable.(1)After treatment for 4 weeks in the treatment group and the control group,the VAS,20-meters walking time were significantly different than before,and after treatment for 1 week,2 weeks and 4 weeks the WOMAC index was significantly different than before too(P <0.05).(2)To Consider that,compared with control group,there were significant differences in treatment group to evaluated the VAS for 1 week,2 weeks and 4 weeks,20-meters walking time for 4 weeks and WOMAC index for 2 weeks and 4 weeks,curative effect after treatment completed(P<0.05).(3)There was no significant difference in WOMAC index and efficacy between the treatment group and the control group after 1 week(P> 0.05).Patients in the treatment and control groups did not find any drug-related side effects and systemic discomfort during treatment,and no significant clinical changes were observed in the physical examination.Conclusion:Conclusion:Early stahe,decoction of the orthopaedic external washing can relieve pain symptoms in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis,the function and efficacy better improved better in middle-late stages.
