| Objective:To observe the various clinical symptoms,TCM symptoms,and exercise tolerances before and after treating patients with chronic heart failure(syndrome of phlegm and blood stasis)through reducing phlegm and removing stasis,and to evaluate the curative effect of reducing phlegm and removing stasis in treating chronic cardiac failure.Methods:According to the chosen criteria,50 outpatients hospitalized in the Cardiovascular Department of First Affiliated Hospital at Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine during March 2016 through February 2017 were selected.In addition to their standard treatments for heart failure,all patients also received additional phlegm and blood stasis prescription taken twice daily by mouth,once in morning and once at night,each time 150ml for a total of 4 weeks.A scale score is implemented after one treatment course to observe the various TCM symptoms,clinical manifestations,Lee Heart Failure Integral,and 6MWT,which were used to evaluate the curative effect of reducing phlegm and removing stasis in treating chronic cardiac failure.Results:1.Scores of TCM symptoms were significantly lower after receiving treatment,giving statistical significance to the study(P<0.01).2.Scores of Lee Heart Failure Integral were significantly lower after receiving treatament,giving statistical significance to the study(P<0.01).3.Scores of 6MWT were significantly higher after receiving treatment,giving statistical significance to the study(P<0.01).4.There were no significant adverse reactions and side effects after treatment.Conclusions:1.The prescription of reducing phlegm and removing stasis can improve the TCM symptom integral to chronic cardiac failure and patients’ clinical symptom.2.Expectorant and stasis removing decoction can improve the exercise tolerances of patients with chronic heart failure(syndrome of phlegm and blood stasis). |
