Objective:The purpose of this study is to evaluate the changes of left atrial volume in paroxysmal atrial fibrillation patients underwent radiofrequency catheter ablation(RFCA)by using real-time three-dimensional echocardiography(RT-3DE),and evaluate the final effect after operation. Methods:Through the investigation of 40 patients in our hospital with radiofrequency catheter ablation(RFCA)for treatment of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation patients, between October 2014 and October 20016;3 days before the start of surgery and 3 days,1 months,3 months and 6 months after the end of treatment by three-dimensional echocardiography were observed. After the operation, the patients were followed up,and underwent four echocardiographic examinations and follow-up visits to find out the change of the affected area. The changes of left atrial related indexes at each time before and after ablation were compared and analyzed. All patients were examined for sinus rhythm.Reexamine was mainly based on routine measurements and RT-3DE measurements, which includes: the corresponding function index of left atrial ventricular, left atrial volume minimum, maximum(LAVmin、LAVmax),left atrial emptying fraction of active and passive(LAAEF、LAPEF),and the left atrial pre systolic volume(LAVp)and so on.The measured data reflect the left atrial storage, the auxiliary pump function, and the left ventricular diastolic and systolic function. Finally, the left atrial function index(LAFI)was calculated to reflect the overall function of the left atrium. Results:Compared with the preoperative, postoperative 3 days LAFI have A downward trend, but there was no statistically significant difference(P > 0.05),A peak and Aa decrease(P < 0.05);Postoperative 1 month, higher LAFI,LAAEF and LAEF increased(P < 0.05);Postoperative 3months increased LAFI,LAD and left atrial olume index decreases, and LAAEF,LAPEF,LAEF,A peak and Aa increased(P < 0.05);Postoperative 6 months increased LAFI,LAD and left atrial olume index decreases, and LAAEF,LAPEF,LAEF,A higher peak and Aa,S higher peak, peak D reduce(P < 0.05).Conclusion:The catheter radiofrequency ablation left atrial function in patients with postoperative 3 days appear to reduce trend;Left atrial function in patients with postoperative 1 month has some improvement, the auxiliary pump function and improve overall function,in a slow recovery;3months and 6 months after the storage of left atrial function in patients with, auxiliary pump, pipes, and overall functions are improved, and fully improve left ventricular function;real-time three-dimensional echocardiography(RT-3D)is a valuable indicator for evaluating left atrial function changes before and after radiofrequency ablation of atrial fibrillation patients.
