The Effect Of Tong Du Tiao Shen Acupuncture Treatment On Plasma Hcy Levels Of Patinents With VMCI

Objective: By observing the different clinical effects of the method of Tong Du Tiao Shen acupuncture combined with western medicine and Western medicine on the treatment of patients with vascular mild cognitive impairment,exploring the effects of Tong Du Tiao Shen acupuncture on MMSE,Mo CA,ADL scale and the level of plasma Hcy in VMCI patients,and objectively evaluating the effectiveness of the Tong Du Tiao Shen acupuncture in clinical use,then to provide the clinical treatment a more reliable basis in the future.Methods: Totally 60 patients with vascular mild cognitive impairment were recruited in the second affiliated hospital of Anhui University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,and assigned randomly into two groups: Tong Du Tiao Shen acupuncture group and western medicine group with 30 cases.On the basis of routine medical therapy,the patients in the Western group were treated with oral donepezil hydrochloride and folic acid.The treatment of the patients in the Tong Du Tiao Shen acupuncture group combined with Tong Du Tiao Shen acupuncture.MMSE,Mo CA,ADL scale and the level of Hcy were used as indicators of curative effect and the clinical effect of the two groups were compared and analyzed objectively after six weeks of treatment.Results: The data obtained after the end of the treatment showed that it was effective to treat vascular mild cognitive impairment by Tong Du Tiao Shen acupuncture.The total effective rate of Tong Du Tiao Shen acupuncture group was 93.75%,which was higher than that of the Western medicine group(73.33%),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared with the Western medicine group,the MMSE,Mo CA and ADL scale and Plasma homocysteine levels were improved in the Tong Du Tiao Shen acupuncture group after three courses.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).By observing the correlation between Mo CA or MMSE scale and Plasma homocysteine levels in all patients before and after the treatment,it was found that the Mo CA or MMSE scale score was negatively correlated with Plasma homocysteine levels.Conclusion: The level of Plasma homocysteine was positively correlated with the degree of cognitive impairment in patients with VMCI.Tong Du Tiao Shen acupuncture and western medicine all can treat vascular cognitive impairment,and can improve the cognitive ability of patients with vascular mild cognitive impairment.However,Tong Du Tiao Shen acupuncture has a better efficacy,smaller side effects,and could be easily accepted by patients,worthy of clinical application.
