Objective: To test the expression of RAGE gene and RECK gene in salivary gland opleomorphic adenoma of incipient, recurrence and malignant and study its clinical significance. Methods: the SP method of immunohistochemical was applied in detecting the expression of RECK and RAGE on 13 cases with normal salivary gland tissue,8 cases with recurrent tissue of PA,36 cases with incipient organization,10 cases with Malignant tissue analyze the relationship between the difference of protein expression and clinical pathological factors discuss and study its correlation. Results: The positive expression rate of RECK in normal parotid gland tissue, salivary gland pleomorphic adenoma incipient and relapse and salivary gland malignant change is respectively: 76.90%(10/13),55.60%(20/36),37.50%(3/8),20.00%(2/10),which present the trend of gradual reduce. The positive expression rate and intensity of RECK in normal and incipient salivary gland tumor tissues were significantly higher than in the recurrence and malignant tumor tissue. The difference has statistically significant(P < 0.05).The positive expression rate of RAGE is respectively: 15.40%(2/13),41.70%(15/36),62.50%(5/8),90.00%(9/10),which present gradually rising. The positive expression rate and intensity of RAGE in the normal and incipient of salivary gland tumor tissues were significantly lower than the positive rate of recurrence and malignant tumor tissues.in the normal and incipient positive rate and expression intensity of salivary gland tumor tissues. The difference has statistically significant.(P<0.05).Related analysis showed that the expression of RAGE and RECK presented negative correlation in various tissues(r=-0.512,P < 0.05).Conclusion: this study might be benefit in the pathogenesis of pleomorphic adenoma recurrence and progression, and can assist patients prognosis and provide reference for thecomprehensive treatment.
