Objective: To observe the effects of ASMq on mouse,which was treated with suspending tail,forced swimming and drenching the anti-depression drug of reserpine,also including the effect on the rat model of chronic stress depression,we approach the characters and mechanisms of anti-depression of the ASMq,and provide the experimental base for the feasibility of ASMq.Method: we employ the mouse experimentations of suspending tail,forced swimming and drenching the ASMq in 14 consecutive days,to observe the immobility times within 4mins,respectively.We made the anti-reserpine model by peritoneal injection of reserpine,and administrate 14 consecutive days,to observe the changes of body temperature,eyes-closed of each group and the numbers of exceeding ring animals within 15 s.we made the rat`s depression model by chronic unpredictable stress stimulus,drenching ASMq,to observe the behavior change by determining body weight changes,the behavior of open-field test,sugar consumption,the step-down test and detect the level of MDA and the activity of SOD in the tissue of main organs(heart,brain,liver),to observe the effect and mechanism of ASMq on the rat model.Result: In the depression model of mouse,compared with black control group,the ASMq high does group,middle does group and fluoxetine hydrochloride group could obviously reduce the immobility time in 4mins of forced swimming test and tail suspending test(P<0.05).The depression model of mouse succeed by peritoneal injection reserpine,compared with model group the ASMq high does group and fluoxetine hydrochloride group could increase the numbers of exceeding ring animals,reduce the changes of body temperature,eyes-closed numbers of each group,obviously improving the percentage of mouse exceeding ring and reducing the percentage of mouse eyes closed(P<0.05),middle does group could increase the numbers of exceeding ring animals,reduce the changes of body temperature,eyes-closed number,but low does group tend to increase the numbers of exceeding ring animals,reduce the changes of body temperature,eyes-closed number.We successfully made the model of rat chronic stress depression by means of alternative multi-compound stimulus.Compared with model group,the groups of ASMq could increase the body weight,sugar consumption,the scores of open-field test activities,reduce the error of step-down test,and raise the activity of SOD and reduce the level of MDA in tissues of main organs like heart,brain and liver(P<0.05).Conclusion: the ASMq can shorten the immobility times of tail suspending and forced swimming test in mice,increase the numbers of exceeding ring animals,keep body temperature,reduce the number of eyes-closed animals in reserpine anti-depression mode.It can increase body weight,sugar consumption,the activity of open-field test and the activity of SOD in main organs(heart,brain,liver),reduce the error number in step-down test and the level of MDA in main organs(heart,brain,liver).It indicates that ASMq has rather good anti-depression effect,which may produce a marked effect by raising the antioxygen ability of main organs(heart,brain,liver).
