Objective :To compare the craniofacial structures of different kind vertical types of Class III patients in Permanent dentition. Methods: Chose the the selected 45 class III malocclusion patients from Dalian Medical University Second Hospital the Department of Orthodontics, according to diagnosis, the high angle sample 15 cases(6 males,9 females, the average age was 14.51 + 1.88);average angle samples 15 cases,(7 cases of male,8 female patients, mean age 16.13 + 1.30);low angle samples in 15 cases,(8cases of male,7woman patients, mean age 16.13 + 1.30).Take X-ray cephalometric radiographs without treatment, and on lateral cephalometric radiographs for drawing, choose 30 measurements cephalometric analysis, analyzed and compared the three groups of samples. Results:Measurement results about the Maxillary and mandible horizontal structure,NP-FH,Po-NB,low angle group is greater than the high angle group, means class Ⅲ low angle of mandible growth direction the horizontal growth is greater than the vertical direction;Measurement results about vertically structures, the Y axis, high angle is the greatest, the Ant,high angle is the greatest, the low angle group is minimum,ODI,low-angle is the greatest, means class Ⅲ high angle vertical direction growth is greater than the horizontal growth;Lips and teeth relation relationship,U1 – SN,low angle is the greatest,L1-NB,low angle group is the greatest,Occ Plane,UOP,POP the high angle are the greatest;Soft tissue relationship, chin thickness(TC),and the thickness of the upper lip(UL)for high angle is greatest. Conclusion: There are great differences in Cephalometry Structures between class III patients in permanent dentition with different kind of facial types, especially Under the 1/3 section of the face.
