Objective:Through comparing the effect on relieving pain and improving lumbar function between back in combination with abdominal muscle exercises and simple back muscle exercise on the treatment of chronic nonspecific low back pain,to evaluate the effectiveness and necessity of combining abdominal exercises and provide the evidence for the exercise programs for patients with chronic nonspecific low back pain.Methods:From October 2015 to June 2016,60 patients with chronic nonspecific low back pain in department of orthopedics outpatient of our hospital were selected,which were randomly divided into the control group(30 patients)and the trial group(30patients).The patients of the control group adopted the five-point support back muscle exercise and they performed the action from the initial 15 times gradually increased to 60 times per set(with no fatigue),3 sets per day,5 days a week and a total of 6 months.While the patients of trial group adopted the additional exercises of abdominal contraction and abdominal curl,and they performed every action from the initial 15 times gradually increased to 30 times per set(with no fatigue),3 sets per day,5 days a week and a total of 6 months.Before exercises and 1 month.3 months,6 months after exercises,the VAS,ODI and Finger-to-Floor Distance were evaluated respectively between the two groups,similarly compared the outcome measures each group between the time of 6 months after exercises and before exercise..The clinical efficacy of the two groups was evaluated at the last follow-up.Results:At the end of the study,4 patients dropped out of the control group and 2 patients of the trial group,and a total of 54 patients were followed up consecutively.The general datum(gender,age,course of disease)of the two groups were comparable,and the differences were not statistically significant(P>0.05).There were no significant differences in VAS,ODI and Finger-to-Floor Distance between the two groups before exercise(P>0.05);1 months after,the VAS,ODI and Finger-to-Floor Distance of the two groups did not change obviously,there were no significant differences between the two groups(P>0.05);3 months after,the VAS,ODI and Finger-to-Floor Distance of the two groups both decreased,and the trial group decreased faster,the differences were statistically significant between the two groups(P<0.05);6 months later,there were statistically differences in the outcome measures compared with before exercise(P<0.05),and the trial group was better,the differences were statistically significant between the two groups(P<0.05).Evaluate the clinical efficacy of the two groups at the last follow-up,the excellent rate of trial group was higher than the control group,the differences between these two groups were significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Back in combination with abdominal muscle exercises was better than simple back muscle exercise in relieving the pain and improving the lumbar function of patients with chronic nonspecific low back pain.It is necessity to combine with abdominal muscle exercises.
