Objective:Discuss The Back and Abdominal Muscles Exercises in therehabilitation of NLBP. In order to Provides a new diagnostic and treatmentmethods and basis of core strength training for the ICU nurse with NLBP..Methods:Using the Spirit of Yoga and Taichi,incorporating the workingcharacteristics of ICU nurse to compose the back and abdominal musclesexercises practice;40ICU nurses in a hospital were randomly divided into theintervention group(n=20) and the control group(n=20).The nurses in theintervention group participated in Yoga practice for6. weeks,and the nursesin the control group maintained the routine life style. They were investigatedwith Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) and Japanese Orthopedic Association(JOA)before and after intervention at the3th week and6th week.Result: After3weeks,the intervention nurse’s VAS and JOA scores weresignificantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).After6weeks,the intervention nurse’s VAS and JOA scores were significantly higher thanthose of the control group and the intervention group at3th week(P<0.05).After6weeks,the intervention nurse’s SF-36scores weresignificantly higher than those of the control group (P<0.05).but nosignificant difference was found in the control group (P>0.05).Conclusion:The Back and Abdominal Muscles Exercises practice caneffectively improve the nonspecific low back pain of ICU nurses and promotethe quality of life in ICU nurses, is a good method to treatment the nonspecificlow back pain of ICU nurses.
