The Clinical Observation Of Modified Yang He Decoction For Psoiasis Vulgaris Yang Deficiency And Blood Stasis Type

Objective: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of Modified Yang He Decoction,and to explore the mechanism of this treatment method,through observating its clinical effect and influence in quality of life in psoriasis patients.Methods: According to randomized,controlled experimental design method,60 psoriasis patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group.Each group has 30 patients.Treatment group given oral medicine decoction “Modified Yang He Decoction” combined with narrow-band UVB,control group was ouly given narrow-band UVB.They all need treatment four weeks and three times a week.We observe changes in the psoriasis area and severity of skin lesions(PASI),TCM syndrome,itching degree,Dermatology Life Quality Index(DLQI)scores before treatment and after 2 weeks and 4weeks respectively and have a subsequent visit after three month.Results: After 2 weeks of treatment,the PASI scores,TCM syndrome scores,pruritus scores and DLQI scores in treatment group were respectively(11.42±2.70),(21.27±4.29),(0.83±0.70)and(11.37±3.01),but(11.60±2.96),(24.57 ± 3.23),(1.37 ± 0.85)and(19.33 ± 3.72)in control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores in PASI,TCM syndrome,pruritus and DLQI were decreased after 4 weeks.The treatment group achieved scores were(7.98±1.56),(16.10±2.96),(0.23±0.43),(6.57±1.83),while those were(10.62±3.01),(2.63±3.69),(1.07± 0.78)and (17.93 ± 3.64)in control group.The efficiency of treatment group was86.67%,which was significantly higher than that of control group(56.67%),and lower frequency of adverse reactions and relapse rate were observed.Conclusion: Modified Yang He Decoction is a safe,effective approach for treating psoriasis vulgaris,which can reduce PASI scores,TCM syndrome scores,itching degree scores and DLQI scores,then approve life quality.
