| Background: With the development of economy,the depth of medical reform, the transition of medical care model and the problem of aging, the patients are no longer focused on the level of medical care, but are particularly concerned about the quality of medical services. In order to obey the patient-central and quality-core concept of medical services, to improve the degree of "humanity", Hospitals have been carried out a measure of accompanying inpatient examination. Accompanying inpatient examination is one of the ministry of health's demonstration project which involves in guide, accompanying inpatient examination and preach. Accompanying inpatient examination can achieve safe and effective purpose. Accompanying inpatient examination is a course that patients complete all the examination accompanied by the nurse. Accompanying inpatient examination requires nurses that not only have the general nursing knowledge, but also have the ability of dealing with emergencies. Accompanying inpatient examination can reduce the dispute of medical services. In order to optimize the accompany examination, to improve the quality of nurses and medical services, a study that patients' satisfactions of accompanying inpatient examination and medical service influences of accompanying inpatient examination is conducted in a hospital in China. The study analyzed the current situation and deficiency of accompanying inpatient examination. The study provided the evidence that improve the quality of medical service and make medical measures.Objectives:To know the patients' satisfactions of accompanying inpatient examination and medical service influences of accompanying inpatient examination, instruct nurses to service for patients better and improve the quality of nurses' service. Methods: Data were collected by Self-designed questionnaire. Using random sampling method to select patients answered the questionnaires. A study that patients' satisfactions of accompany inpatient examination and medical service influences of accompany inpatient examination is conducted in a hospital in China. The sample size needed for the study was 241 cases. The basic situation of the patients and accompanying nurses, the basic etiquette and attitude of accompanying nurses, and the evaluate of satisfactions of accompanying nurses' service was included in the contents of the questionnaire.Results: 1.The satisfactions in different department patients were compared for differences in the basic etiquette and attitude Internal medicine and gynecology were higher than surgery in the basic etiquette such as appearance, polite usage and smile(P < 0.017). Surgery, internal medicine and gynecology have no difference in communication skills(?2 = 2.424,P=0.298). 2.The satisfactions in patients were compared for differences in the Service attitude Surgery, internal medicine and gynecology have no difference in the service attitude(?2=4.197,P= 0.123), the dissatisfactions in patients were lower than the satisfactions. Surgery, internal medicine and gynecology have significant difference in the reaction and attitude to patient's request( ?2=9.662, P=0.008), The satisfactions in the internal medicine were higher than the surgery, the dissatisfactions in patients were lower than the satisfactions. 3.The evaluations in different department patients were compared for differences in the working conditionSurgery, internal medicine and gynecology have no difference in the length of time to nurse reach the ward and the number of patients accompanied by the nurses(P >0.05), the length of time to nurse reach the ward was concentrated in time 20 minutes, the numbers of patients accompanied by the nurses were concentrated in six. 4.The evaluations in different department patients were compared for differences in the service quality Compared with surgery, internal medicine and gynecology have no difference in the service quality such as send patients back to the ward, take safety measures when the patient's condition changed, communicate with patients about precautions when patients went to check body and check information when pick or send patients(P <0.017), all done and occasionally done is higher than nothing done. 5.The service suggestions of accompanying nurse in different department patients were compared for differences Surgery, internal medicine and gynecology have significant differences in the service suggestions of picking or sending patients( ?2=7.021, P=0.030),the evaluation of gynecology is higher than surgery; surgery, internal medicine and gynecology have no differences in the service suggestions of lacking patience(?2=4.090,P=0.129);internal medicine and gynecology were higher than surgery in the respecting patients(P <0.017);surgery, internal medicine and gynecology have significant differences in the service suggestions of predicting security risks when went somewhere to check(?2=7.021,P=0.030),internal medicine is higher than Gynecology. 6.The influences of accompanying nurse on patients' treatment Surgery, internal medicine and gynecology have significant differences in the accompanying measures such as guide to patients who unfamiliar with environment, observe the patients' condition changes, save the patient time of waiting for examination(P>0.05),thanking have a change is higher than unchange. 7.The influences of accompanying nurse on medical serviceSurgery, internal medicine and gynecology have no differences in the medical service such as recommend the hospital to others, find the unreasonable process of treatment, proactively provide service to patients(P>0.05), the influence of improve patients' satisfactions is higher than dissatisfactions. 8.The influences of accompanying nurse on psychology of patients Surgery, internal medicine and gynecology have no differences in the psychology of patients such as eliminate strange and fear feeling, solve the problem raised by patients(P>0.05), the influence of patients' psychology is higher than no influence.Conclusion: 1. The patients are satisfied with the basic etiquette, service attitude, working status and service quality of accompanying nurses, but few nurses could not win the patients' satisfaction. 2. Accompanying examination can improve psychological condition of patients and treatment condition.It is also beneficial to make medical service better. 3. Accompanying examination still have many deficiencies, for example accompanying nurses are lacking patience. So it is necessary to enhance the professional quality of accompanying nurses and standardize the service details of accompanying examination. |
