Objective: To observe the effects of acupuncturing at Sanyinjiao,Diji,Hegu and health education guidance of relieving the degree of dysmenorrhea pain and the total duration and severity of each symptom in patients with primary dysmenorrhea(PD),providing an objective basis of the Immediate analgesic effect of acupuncturing at Sanyinjiao,Diji,Hegu on patients with PD,and promoting its clinical application.Method: After a menstrual cycle baseline screening,64 patients with PD were divided into acupuncture group and blank group by random number table-method,each group with 32 patients included. The blank group was only given the health education guidance, whilst the acupuncture group was required to accept both acupuncture treatment and the hea-lth education guidance.Taking the Sanyinjiao,Diji,Hegu acupoints by the means of general acupuncturing method, all the needle retention time were kept in 30 minutes, taking 30s’ acupuncturing in every 10 minutes, each treatment of each acupoint was given 4 times-manipulating.Acupuncture group-received-treatment-if VAS≥40mm to represent the first specific treatment time of each menstrua-l cycle.1 treatment in every day,3 continuous treatment for each Menstrual cycle, thus 9 times’ therapy in total, lasting threemenstrual cycles.Recording the VAS scores and CMSS score at the corresponding time both before and after treatment. All records analysised by SPSS19.0 statistical software for statistical processing. The differences VAS scores and COX dysmenorrhea scores were compared between the two groups both in baseline period and treatment period. Results: 1.Comparison of VAS scores within the acupuncture group: Each menstrual cycle, the VAS score of 5min’s Acupuncturing was significantly different from the VAS before acupuncturing(P <0.01).The VAS scores of the other corresponding time were significantly different from those of VAS scores before acupuncture(P<0.01).The retrospective VAS scores of the acupuncture group were statistically significant(P<0.01)compared with the retrospective VAS scores at baseline.2.Comparison of VAS scores between groups :The VAS scores of the first menstrual cycle was no statistically significant difference between the acupuncture group and the blank group before acupuncturing(P> 0.05);The VAS scores of the second menstrual cycle was statistically significant different between the acupuncture group and the blank group before acupuncturing(P <0.01).The VAS scores of the third menstrual cycle was statistically significant different between the acupuncture group and the blank group before acupuncturing(P <0.01).The VAS scores of 5min’s、10min’s、20min’s 、30min’s Acupuncturing and 30min’s 、 60min’s 、 90min’s after the treatment between theacupuncture group and the blank group were statistically significant different(P <0.01).The difference of corresponding retrospective VAS scores between the two groups were statistically significant(P <0.01).3.Comparison of CMSS scores within the acupuncture group: The difference of CMSS score at each time point of acupuncture group was significantly different from that of baseline after acupuncturing(P <0.05).4.Comparison of CMSS scores between groups :There was significant difference of the CMSS score at each time point after acupuncturing between acupuncture group and blank group(P<0.05).5.Comparison of VAS scores within the blank group: The VAS scores all time points before and after did not change significantly at the blank group(P>0.05).6.Comparison of CMSS scores within the blank group: The CMSS scores all time points before and after did not change significantly at the blank group(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.Acupuncturing "Sanyinjiao,Diji,Hegu" on PD patients can play an immediate effect in relieving the patient’s subjective pain, and shorten the duration and relieve the severity of some clinical symptoms of dysmenorrhea.2.The health education guidance has no obvious effect in relieving patient’s subjective pain,no shortening the duration and no improving the severity of any clinical symptom of dysmenorrhea.
