Clinical Observation On Treatment Of Herb Fumigation Of Huoxue Tongluo Recipe Combined With Rehabilitation Training On Limb Spasm After Cerebral Apoplexy

Objective: To observe the effectiveness of herb fumigation of Huoxue Tongluo Recipe combined with rehabilitation training on limb spasm after cerebral apoplexy,and explore its mechanism.Methods: There are 180 patients of limb spasm after cerebral apoplexy,each age must be between 40 to 80 years old and the course of illness is no more than 90 days.Everyone was told about the purposes and processes of the research,and has singed the form of consent.The 180 patients were randomly divided into 3 groups with 60 in each.Group A was treated with herb fumigation of Huoxue Tongluo Recipe,group B was adopted modern rehabilitation training and group C was given combined therapy of herb fumigation and rehabilitation training,based on conventional therapy.Modified Ashworth Spasm Rating Scale,Barthel index and Fulg-Meyer Motor Scale were used in the three groups to evaluate the degree of spasm,activities of daily living and movement function respectively before and after treatment.Therapeutic effects were observed during 4 weeks.Results: Modified Ashworth scores decreased in all groups and the comparison among the 3 groups had significant meaning(P<0.05),but group C had more obvious curative effects than that of either group A or group B.Compared with group B and A,group C showed significant difference in improvement of both daily life activities and movement function(P<0.05).Group C had better results in improving major clinical symptoms after cerebral apoplexy.Conclusion: Combined therapy of herb fumigation of Huoxue Tongluo Recipe and rehabilitation training can relieve limb spasm,improve daily life activities and movement function.Compared with treatments of separate method,the combined treatment is more advantageous,worth deep exploration and clinical expansion.
