CT(computer tomography),born in the seventies of last century,with the development of CT technology,CT imaging has become an important imaging study of modern medical diagnostic technologies.CT technology use the X-ray attenuation characteristics after X-ray go through the irradiated body,collect the irradiated body projection data at multi-angle,and,reconstruct the projection data to obtain the irradiated body tomography.CT technology goes to today,facilities and equipment have been upgraded constantly,and now,CT has been developed to the fifth generation CT technology-----cone-beam CT(Cone Beam Computed Tomography,CBCT)technology.CBCT technology has less scanning time,high resolution,low radiation and other characteristics,so it is nowadays widely used in clinical diagnosis and research fields.In the modern variety of clinical surgery,CBCT is playing a significant role.In order to follow the development of CT technology and have a deeper understanding of CBCT,this paper conducts in-depth research of cone-beam CT and achieve the design and research of dental CBCT control system based on PLC.The CBCT control system of this project consists of a cone-beam X-ray tube,flat panel detector,and the C-type rotary arm components.Design to use the PLC to control the C-type rotary arm to rotate,meanwhile driving the flat panel to collect projection data and send sync pulse signal to control the high-voltage tube to emit X-ray.And after constructing the projection data obtained at multi-angle to obtain a high-resolution tomographic image.This CBCT control system uses the MITSUBISHI programmable logic controller(PLC)-----FXls-30MT-001 PLC as the core processing unit and the controlling center.This programmable logic controller has a high performance,low power consumption,impact resistance,vibration and other characteristics,is nowadays widely used in different industrial controlling.Against with the current CT equipment control systems’ high cost,big volume and other shortcomings,in this paper develops a CBCT test equipment using the MITSUBISHI PLC as the core control unit,with motion controlling,projection data acquisition and other functions.This article primary discusses in the theoretical research,the total control system design,hardware platform design,motion control system design based on PLC,application software design based on GX WorKs2,hardware and software debugging and other aspects of the cone-beam CT.
