Occupational stress is one of the most important global public health problems in the 21st century. With the reform and opening up, the rapid development of China’s social and economic, changes of social organization structure, social competition is becoming increasingly intensified, pressure of employment, work pressure and other factors, resulting in increasing occupational stress of working population perception. Compared with the general population and other professionals, medical staffs occupational stress degree is higher, and the nurse as an important part of medical staff,has become one of the high incidence people of occupational stress. Occupational stress is a harmful physical and psychological reaction, occurred when job demands fail to be balanced with workers ability and resources,or the demand is not satisfied. Excessive occupational stress can lead to anxiety, depression and work ability decreased. In this study, the JC community health service center nurses are taken as the research object, and the investigation and analysis of the state of nurses occupational stress and anxiety are based on the Job Contents Questionnaires (JCQ) and the Effort-Reward Imbalance Questionnaires (ERI), the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS).The results show that both JCQ index and ERI index are averaged more than 1,which reflects the JC community health service center nurse occupational stress level. Most of the nurses occupational stress level is high, age, whether in the organization, job position, income level is an important factor affecting the nurse occupational stress level, and occupational stress and anxiety are closely related. According to the research results, combined with the specific situation of JC community health service center, this study puts forward the strategies of relieving occupational stress and anxiety from the 2 aspects of organization and individual.
