The Current Status Of Physical Disability And Needs Of Prosthesis In Beijing

Objects:Disability in six categories according to the statistics, physical disability, large base of disability decision is very important for the research of this part of the disabled, disabled persons affects not only its own development, also affect their families and the development of the society. Therefore, a comprehensive understanding of the present situation of the body of persons with disabilities, analyze the epidemiological characteristics, to grasp the city’s body of persons with disabilities, mutilation related policy and study is of great significance. With the development of science and technology and national support for the rehabilitation program, physical disabilities rehabilitation work has made great achievements. Beijing cause of physical disabilities recovery in recent years have made great efforts to work with auxiliary appliance, in particular, the China disabled persons’ federation, Beijing disabled persons’ federation, disabled persons’ federation at the grass-roots level, and social support of the organization. Assistive devices business booming development of rehabilitation in Beijing today, limb prosthesis with problems of the disabled is especially highlighted.This research through the study of the present situation of Beijing accredited limb disabled people, understand physical disabilities population basic characteristics, this paper analyzes the reasons of the disability, the demand of the prosthesis in Beijing, and further research to the problem of comprehensive control of the city’s body of persons with disabilities have the effect of nots allow to ignore, can to provide solid foundation for assistive devices policy in Beijing, to undertake various auxiliary equipment with project to provide scientific data to support, can promote the auxiliary appliance enterprise steady development of Beijing.Methods:Using homemade Beijing disabled persons certificate(card) physical disabilities information table and "Beijing accredited limb prosthesis for the disabled needs questionnaire" and telephone interviews, the questionnaire survey to the accredited body of persons with disabilities basic information such as age, gender, educational level, and the assembly needs to investigate and record prosthesis.Results:1.According to the database for the disabled people in Beijing, as of May 31, 2016, holders of physical disabilities certificate in Beijing basic situation is as follows:(1) Holders of physical disabilities certificate, 252121 people in Beijing, including 145445 men, 57.69%, 106675 women, 42.31%.(2) Age concentrated in 41 years of age or older, accounts for about 92.70% of the total body of persons with disabilities.(3) The degree of culture is mainly the junior middle school and the cultural level, accounting for 73.18% of the total number of mutilation.(4) Disabled reasons in addition to other factors, ranked in the top three of the Cerebrovascular disease, 17.49%, Osteoarthrosis, accounted for 16.05%, other trauma, accounting for 14.10%.(5)In Beijing,Grade 1 to Grade 4 of physical disabilities were respectively 3.02%,19.68%),27.40% and 49.91%.2.The demand analysis and influencing factors of prosthesis(1)There are significant differences in the needs of prosthetic in family per capita monthly income(P < 0.05).(2) There are significant differences in the needs of prosthetic in the Grade of physical disabilities(P < 0.0001).(3)There are significant differences in the needs of prosthetic in the cause of amputation(P < 0.05).(4) There are significant differences in the needs of prosthetic in the amputation site(P < 0.0001).Conclusion:1, the limb disabled epidemiological characteristics of Beijing(1) the physical disabilities men more than women(2) the licensed limb disabled people concentrated in 41 years of age or older.(3) the holder of Beijing limb disabled people cultural level is low, mainly is the junior middle school and the cultural level.(4) the licensed limb disability reason of disabled persons in addition to other factors, ranked in the top five were cerebrovascular disease,osteoarthrosis, other trauma, for unknown reasons, industrial injury.(5) the lowest proportion of mutilation grade level, the highest level 4.2, Beijing limb disabled prosthetic requirements analysis conclusion(1) the family economic conditions affecting the demand of the prosthesis, family economic condition is very poor or very good, can make the demand of the prosthesis is less.(2) the prosthetic demand along with the level of disability(lowest level 4), the higher the level of disability, prosthesis, the greater the demand.(3) affect the demand of the prosthesis, limb amputation reasons caused by trauma, disabled lowest demand for prosthetic limb amputation.(4) affect the prosthetic limb amputation parts demand, leg amputation, leg amputation, forearm amputation of limbs demand is the biggest of all.3, this study limb disabled persons in Beijing and the demand of the prosthesis is described and the statistics, analysis of the current deficiencies and problems in the Beijing physical disabilities, puts forward Suggestions for the future work:Assistive devices policy(1) perfect physical disabilities rehabilitation, increase the support(2) perfect the auxiliary equipment service institution building in Beijing, building a service network(3) to strengthen the construction of service system for the disabled, attaches great importance to the auxiliary equipment training(4) to include assistive devices service work in the overall situation of undertakings for disabled persons(5) pay attention to disabled people, the construction of a harmonious society...
