Background: inguinal hernia is a common disease in Department of general surgery,and also the elderly common disease,along with the trend of population aging in our country grows in intensity,treatment of inguinal hernia surgical volume also increased year by year.About the treatment of inguinal hernia surgery has been the subject of debate for many years,with the rapid development of science and technology in today’s society,for treatment of inguinal hernia repair materials selection controversy has become more and more fierce.Mesh plug as active in treating inguinal hernia repair material,has many years of history,but the standardization of mesh plug using a unified understanding yet,clinical doctor inappropriate choices for mesh plug tend to be more easily lead to The complications after operation,the more serious and even life-threatening,this paper made a retrospective analysis of the clinical data of the treatment of inguinal hernia in our hospital.Objective: comparative analysis of two groups of patients were used mesh plug peace piece two repair material in treating inguinal hernia,observe two groups of patients may cause complications,discusses how to scientifically,standardized use of mesh plug herniorrhaphy for inguinal hernia,and try to reduce the incidence of postoperative complications.Methods: In 31 cases,during the month of June to this retrospective analysis in 2010 January 2015,Da Lian Medical University First Affiliated Hospital of 132 cases of inguinal hernia patients,among them male 65 cases,female 67 cases,age 25 ~ 85 year old,average 67.6 years old were randomly divided into mesh plug group(group A)peace group(B group).A group of 68 cases of male 35 cases,female 33 cases,aged 28 to 81 years old,average(67 ± 12)years;indirect inguinal hernia,hernia of 37 cases with pulmonary disease in 11 cases,benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)8 cases of B group (64 cases,male 30 cases,female 34 cases,age 25 ~ 85 year old,average(6 5±11)years;41 cases of indirect hernia,hernia in 23 cases,associated lung disease,10 cases,9 cases of benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH).For the research of sample data were analyzed with SPSS 19.0 software,using the statistical software package for the data processing of the data,count data for X2 inspection,α = 0.05,bilateral,P < 0.05 for differences are significant.Result1.The recurrence rate: It is found that the A group(mesh plug group)recurrence for the number 10,and group B(flat plate group)for 2 people,P = 0.021,P < 0.05,the two groups have significant differences.2.Incision effusion,infection: Group A(mesh plug group)for the number 11,and group B(flat plate group)for the number 3,P = 0.026,P < 0.05,the two groups have significant differences.3.Postoperative Pain: Group A(mesh plug group)after operation using the number of analgesic drugs to 27.The number of mild pain for 15,8 the number of moderate pain,severe pain in 3.Group B(flat plate group)after operation using the number of analgesic drugs for 32 people,including the number 19 mild pain,moderate pain number for 10 people,severe pain number for 3 people.By contrast,P = 0.311,P > 0.05,data of the two groups no significant difference.4.Foreign body sensation: Group A(mesh plug group)in March and early follow-up postoperative discomfort for the number 12,B group(flat plate group)for the number3.P = 0.039,P < 0.05,the two groups have significant differences.5.Intestinal obstruction,intestinal adhesion:Group A(mesh plug group)the number of postoperative serious complications of intestinal obstruction was 6,B group(flat plate group)the number is 0.P = 0.044,P < 0.05,the two groups have significant differences.Conclusion: the mesh plug its conical shape of the body to the lack of depression,more likely to cause postoperative complications,and give patients a sense of discomfort,and even the possibility of secondary surgery.
