Clinical Observation Of Ziyinhuoxue Method In Treatment Of Diabetes Comorbid With Senile Skin Pruritus

Objective With the expansion of the diabetic population and with the growth of the age of the patients,the number of the diabetic patients comorbid with senile skin pruritus possess quite proportion.Poorly controlled blood glucose of diabetes and its associated complications can increase the incidence of itching,not controlled itching increased the difficulty of the tcontrol of the blood sugar,effective control of itching which can improve the patient’s blood sugar and the patient’s quality of life is particularly important.The purpose of this paper is observing clinical efficacy and safety of ziyinhuoxue method in the treatment of diabetes combined with senile skin pruritus,which can provide the certain reference value for the treatment of the disease using the Chinese medicine.Methods 58 patients who were chosen from the Hubei provincial hospital of traditional Chinese medicine all diagnosed as diabetes combined with senile skin pruritus and classified as Yin deficiency and blood stasis type in the TCM syndrome classification.All of the patients who strictly control blood sugar at the same time pay attention to life adjustment,randomly divided into treatment group and control group.The control group was treated with cetirizine hydrochloride(suzhou east pharmaceutical,approval number: H19980014) 10 mg once per day.The treatment group was treated with the measure of ziyinhuoxue(astragalus membranaceus,raw rehmannia, angelica,radix paeoniae alba,tuckahoe flour,millettla,Ligusticum wallichii,lucium barbarum, mulberry,zaocys dhumnade and so on), 200 ml everyday and 100 ml each time.Treatment for 2 weeks was a period of treatment,It totally have two period of treatment.After 2 months of the treatment,we will follow-up the patients and observe indexes include blood sugar, glycosylated hemoglobin,itching symptoms and signs integral,TCM syndrome integral, recurrence rate and adverse reactions after 2 months.Results(1)Comparison of symptoms and signs of curative effect of two groups:After 2 weeks of treatment,the score of itching associated signs and symptoms of the treatment group was significantly lower than the control group.After 4 weeks of treatment,the difference is more obvious.The curative effect of treatment group was better than that of control group,and with the extension of treatment,the curative effect was more obvious.The total effective rate of treatment group was 96.88%,but the total effective rate of control group was 78.13%,by the statistical test,difference is significant(P<0.05);It shows that ziyinhuoxue is effective treatment for senile diabetic skin pruritus.(2)The comparison of two groups of TCM syndrome integral:After treatment,the score of two groups of traditional Chinese medicine clinical symptom were lower(P<0.05). After treatment,the main syndrome score of the treatment group was significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05);It showed that both groups can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of the elderly diabetic skin pruritus,the total effective rate of the treatment group was 100%,the total effective rate of the control group was 81.25%,the difference of statistics have notable significance(P<0.05). Clinical effect of treatment group is better than that of the control group.(3)The comparison of fasting blood glucose,blood glucose 2 hours after meal,glycosylated hemoglobin A1 c of the two groups:after the treatment,fasting blood glucose,blood sugar 2 hours after meal,glycosylated hemoglobin A1 c of two groups all decreased to some extent,but the difference of statistic is not obvious.(4)Security:The treatment group don not have any adverse reaction,in the control group only 1 case have headache(3.13%),do not find any other liver and kidney function and ECG abnormalities and so on.The incidence of adverse drug reactions of two groups was no significant statistical significance(P>0.05).(5)The recurrence rate:the recurrence of treatment group was lower compared with control.group,(P<0.05),the difference was statistically significant, the treatment group recurrence rate is low.Conclusions The method of ziyinhuoxue can obviously improve clinical symptoms and signs of patients diagnosed as diabetes combined with senile skin pruritus,and improve patients’ sleep and mood, and can lower blood glucose,reduce the relapse rate and improve the patients’ quality of life,for the treatment of diabetes comorbidities provides a effective method for senile skin pruritus.
