Objective:It is a common problem in medical service that the relation between doctor and patient becomes increasingly tense.As an inevitable part of the medical treatment,the doctor-patient communication plays an increasingly important role.So this paper aimed to investigate the practitioner-patient communication skills training situation of undergraduate students in general medicine,and to explore the educational necessity for them in communication between Doctors and Patients,then analyze the influencing factor and improving measures.Based on the results,the paper tried to develop more effective training programs of practitioner-patient communication skills to improve the students' level.Not only to put forward some strategies of medical education reform,but also to facilitating the development of the general practice.Moreover,it can contribute medical student to adapt currently complex work environment,avoid conflicts with patients and improve overall capacity.Methods:By field visit and retrieving the large number of documents at home and abroad,we grasped the status quo in medical education of doctor-patient communication skills and its research progress and problems in colleges and Universities.We also prepared questionnaire referring to the characteristic of community health service,and revised it with the help of specialists' discussion and consultation.In Wannan Medical College and its first affiliated hospital,we had the cluster sampling of undergraduate students in general medicine and the general practitioners who had the training of clinical and community teachers,where we issued questionnaires including students word parts 87 parts and doctor parts 149 parts.After dealing with these questionnaires,we input the data by using EpiData 3.0 twice and made statistical graphs or statistical tables.Results: The results were organized around the following components:the actual role and position of physician-patient communication in medical education,the suggestion and recommendations on communication education of undergraduate students in general medicine,and the current status of general practitioners' communication.Conclusion: The medical education of physician-patient communication is less than satisfactory,though the cultivation of the communication capability is urgently required.Practitioner-patient communication skills can be learnt.Medical colleges and authorities should strengthen the awareness of communication education and put forward reform programs on the organization and implementation of the course.Teachers should carry out the relevant communication education combined with the characteristics of general practice using a variety of teaching methods by building its reasonable curricula.
