Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Vascular Dementia With Qi Deficiency And Phlegm Stasis Type By Yiqi Congming Decoction Modified

Objective: My graduate advisor professor according to his many years of clinical experience in the treatment of vascular dementia,believes that the main pathogenesis of vascular dementia in TCM is the deficiency of Qi,phlegm and blood stasis as the standard,from phlegm to blood stasis,mainly due to phlegm.He thinks the disease position although in the brain,and the fundamental reason is in the spleen,so the key to the treatment is replenishing Qi to invigorate the spleen,and claims on the basis of phlegm and blood stasis focuses on resolving phlegm.We based on the ancient literature of TCM researching and finishing,we intends to Yiqi Congming Decoction modified treatment of Qi deficiency and phlegm stasis type vascular dementia patients were observed the clinical efficacy and safety.Methods: According to the diagnostic standard of Western medicine and TCM diagnosis and TCM Syndrome Differentiation Standard,take random grouping method,the collected from 2015 may to December 2015,Guang Xi University of traditional Chinese Medicine Department of Neurology;the First Affiliated Hospital Ward two outpatient and hospitalization in 62 patients with vascular dementia were randomly divided into two groups;treatment group(32 cases),were given Yiqi Congming decoction modified treatment,30 cases in the control group,received donepezil hydrochloride tablets in the treatment,4 weeks for a course,3 courses of treatment;The Mini-Mental State Examination(MMSE)was used to assess cognitive function and dementia severity,The Activities for Daily Living subscore(ADL)was used to evaluate the patients’ daily life self-care ability,cognitive function and mental behavior were evaluated by Alzheimer’s Disease Assessment Scale cognitive subscale(ADAS-cog),Before and after the treatment were carried out by the professional Mini-Mental State Examination(MMSE),Activities for Daily Living subscore(ADL),ADAS-Cog scale integration assessment,TCM syndrome and safety score standard for evaluation and statistical analysis of the results,to draw the corresponding conclusions.Rerults:The total effective rate was 78.12% in the treatment of senile dementia.After treatment,the treatment group and the control group of the MMSE scale,ADL scale,ADAS-cog scale score were improved compared with before treatment(P < 0.05),the integral of the two groups after treatment compared no significant difference(P > 0.05).TCM clinical symptom score on treatment in treatment group in intelligence impairment,amnesia,Shenpi fatigue,lethargy,cough,expectoration,sweat,tinnitus and deafness,incontinence,etc.the symptoms than before treatment has improved(P < 0.05).The control group before and after treatment,decreased intelligence,amnesia,crusts fewer words,unresponsive,frequent urination or incontinence has improved(P < 0.05).Compared with the control group,the treatment group in God fatigue,lethargy,cough,expectoration,spontaneous improvement of symptoms have statistical difference(P < 0.05).After treatment,no significant adverse reactions were found in the two groups.Conclusion: Yiqi Congming Decoction modified in the treatment of Qi deficiency and phlegm stasis type is safe and effective.
