Daphne altaica,is one species of Genus Daphne from Thymelaeaceae family.It is widely distributed in the mountains above 1000 meters where the altai nomadic gather here.In the early stage,Kazak call it "suo yi han ",at the moment it is called "wu suo yi he".Daphne altaica is a kind of erect shrubs,which is 40-60cm in height,its branch is cymose.its annual branch is puce,therophyte branch is amaranth and its perennial branch is gray.The Kazak classical work《qi pa ge er.ba yan》recorded that the bark of daphne is boiled with the broth,then is strained and drink the soup,which can treat the lung cancer,chronic bronchitis,colds,cough,pneumonia and other diseases.This method has the unique curative effect which has been used among the people now.The Thymelaeaceae plants are widely distributed all over the world and there are many kinds of species.It is rich in varieties of chemical compositions which mainly includes coumarin and flavonoid.There are some other compositions,such as lignins and steroids.Thymelaeaceae contain many bioactivities,such as antioxidant,antibacterial and anticancer.We have taken a systematical study on chemical constituents of Daphne altaica on the basis of summarizing its chemical constituents and pharmacology.The extraction,separation and elucidation of compounds are not only the basis of activity research,but also provide the theoretical foundation of synthesising some promising compounds for drug development.The present study is about the reseach on chemical compositions of Daph ne altaica.Methods:reflux extraction by 70%ethanol,solica column chromato graphy,polyamide column chromatography,sephadex LH-20,macroporous resin column chromatography and recrystal as such methods to extract and purify.R esults:On the basis of physicochemical properties and spectral analysis,and by comparison literature data,18compounds were finally isolated and identified asda phnoretin(1),β-Sitosterol(2),daphnetin(3),isodaphneticin(4),daphnogitin(5),26-alkyl-4,-hydroxy-trans-cinnamate(6),edgeworthin(7),daucosterol(8),luteolin(9),apigenin(10),daphnetin-8-O-β-D-glucopyra(11),daphnodorinH(12),daphnodorinG(13),daphnodorin B(14),7-0-[a-D-glucopyranosyl]-6-hydroxy-3-[(2-oxo-2H-1-benzopyran-7’-yl)-2H-1-benzopyran-2-one(15),6-hydroxy-7-[(2-oxo-2H-1-benzopyran-7-yl)oxy]-2H-1-benzo pyran-2-one(16),seventeen alkyl alcohol(17),p-hydroxybenzoic acid(18).
