Ecological garden construction has become the inevitable trend of modern city landscape construction,low maintenance is an important goal of ecological landscape construction,landscape and leaves as part of the traditional garden waste,landfill,cover a large area,large transportation volume,manual cleaning,high maintenance cost,low maintenance garden has not adapted to the requirements of the development.Zhongkai University of agriculture and engineering Haizhu campus,leaves should be cleaned in time to clean up the way facing a high cost and clean surface,the problem of transport distance,do not meet the needs of low maintenance.The ground cover plants are the carrier of the effective settlement and digestion of the fallen leaves,but the factors such as their species and landscape are not good enough to be accommodated.Therefore,in order to realize the need of low maintenance,this paper puts forward an idea that the ground cover plants can hold the fallen leaves ".It is based on the characteristics of ground cover plants in their capacity,due to the nature,to the concept of ecological nature ",in order not to affect the landscape effect under the premise of local leaves is conducive to the realization of cost savings for this purpose,recycling use of resources,to solve the campus Zhongkai high costs from leaves.(1)to achieve this goal,it is necessary to explore the capacity of ground cover plants for defoliation.In the survey found four major parks in Guangzhou City: groundcover plants capacity level by vegetation surface area and the surface is deciduous leaves thickness judgment,it can be a simple assessment of ground cover plants contain deciduous ability.The leaf area of common deciduous tree in Guangzhou 60 was calculated,and the height of 34 ground cover plants was measured.The use of the index to judge the relationship received: exploration ability and deciduous plant community structure,and the relationship between leaf amount and plant leaf area;and vegetation(type,height,shape,density)relationship.Three tree species with different ranges of leaf area were inferred to match different ground cover plants and 22 common ground cover patterns.The combination configuration of ground cover plants with high accommodation capacity was analyzed.(2)the reform of campus was pre plant capacity,on the campus of vegetation(number,crown diameter,density)were investigated: 133 plant species,divided into 68 families and 98 genera,which included 65 tree species,divided into 35 families and 52 genera;36 species of shrubs divided into 21 families and 28 genera were;the 32 is divided into 12 families and 18 genera.To understand the distribution of tree species,and to measure the height of the ground cover plants on campus,the paper analyzes the problems of the ability of trees to be planted in three areas.(3)through the investigation and analysis of the results apply to the Zhongkai University ofagriculture and engineering Haizhu campus by plant transformation,through to the school campus(the green ground cover plants,green plants,green library is to the activity center of plant)to transform the design,realization of plant leaves and natural objects in place to accommodate coverage.At the same time,8 different types of ground cover plants were added in order to enhance the capacity of the ground cover plants.This paper makes a reasonable transformation of the vegetation in the campus leisure activity space,and uses the basic principle to keep the ground cover plants in order to achieve the effect of the local tree defoliation.The realization of the campus deciduous trees on the spot "accommodate digestion,low maintenance,sustainable,ecological cycle" purpose.
