The Research And Analysis Upon The Use Of Ground Cover Plants On Campuses Of Fuzhou’s Universities

Ground cover plants, as important plant materials in the construction of greenlandscape, have characteristics of species diversity, rich color, landscape seasonality,and extensive management, etc. With appropriate use, ground cover plants togetherwith trees, shrubs, grass and other landscaping materials, can form colorfulthree-dimensional and multi-layer landscape. At the same time, ground cover plantscan also meet the requirements of ecological campus, since its strong growthadaptability help to cover the bare land, prevent soil erosion, maintain ecologicalbalance, and reduce noise pollution. Its important role can not be replaced by othertypes of plants. This paper expounds the related application theories and allocationprinciples for the use of ground cover plants in the campus landscape. It alsosummarizes the application ways of ground cover plants in landscape construction. Inthis paper, the use of ground cover plants in Fuzhou ‘s university town has been studieddetailedly, with the support of relevant application theories.
