| Pinus massoniana plantation is widely distributed in the humid region of middle subtropics in China.As a Country with the largest plantation,Pinus massoniana plays an important role in plantation cultivation in China.It is very important for the scientific management of plantation to study on biomass and carbon storage of Pinus massoniana plantation,and to analyze the relationship between different the biomass and carbon storage of Pinus massoniana plantation and levels of forest or the growth rule of age.At the same time,it can provide field survey data and basic information for relevant scientific research.In this paper,Pinus massoniana plantation(young forest,middle age forest and near ripe forest)was the research object,we studied the biomass and carbon storage of arbor,undergrowth and litter layers in different age groups of Pinus massoniana plantation of Qingyang Lake National Forest Park.Objective to evaluate accurately the carbon sink capacity of Pinus massoniana plantation and analyze the growth factors of Pinus massoniana plantation.It provided the theoretical basis for the scientific management measures of Pinus massoniana plantation in South China.The main findings are as follows:(1)The biomass of young forest middle age forest and near ripe forest in different ages is 27.97 t/hm2,54.59 t/hm2,91.27 t/hm2,respectively,the average value is 57.94 t/hm,and the biomass of arbor layer is the main component;from the arbor layer,the trunk biomass is the main component,and the biomass of the trunk in each period is greater than that of the branches,leaves and roots;the biomass of tree layer and trunk is positively correlated with age;but there is no significant relationship between the biomass of shrub layer,herb layer or litter layer and age.(2)The carbon storage of young forest middle age forest and near ripe forest in different ages is 10.31 t/hm2,21.17 t/hm2,38.38 t/hm2,respectively,the average value is 23.46 t/hm2;the composition of carbon storage is similar to that of biomass,the arbor layer carbon density is the main component of stand carbon density,and it is positively correlated with the age of age;the carbon storage of soil layer is 24.26 t/hm2,and it is not correlated with age.(3)The carbon storage of Pinus massoniana plantation in Qingyang Lake National Forest Park is higher than that of Hunan province(16.31 t/hm2),but lower than the national average carbon reserve(35~39 t/hm2),and there is a huge space for carbon storage growth.The results showed that the process of young forest to middle age forest in Pinus massoniana plantation is a key stage of plantation growth,at this stage,some measures can be taken to increase the growth capacity of Masson pine plantation effectively. |
