With the new normal economic development recently,there are higher requirements have putting forward on ne w energy and environment protection of the development from the states.The power generation situation of thermal power plant is on increasing severe.In order to adapt to the current severe situation,the domestic power plants have to carry out the transformation projects of the steam turbine unit,especially the 300MW-rated-capacity unit has on extraordinary emphasized.Due to the existing restrictions in terms of the original site distribution,the pipeline arrangement tec.,the turbine is difficult to implement the overall alteration on transformation process.Thus,the model selection and replacement of turbine blade air seal are the important tasks on transformation.This dissertation mainly analyzes the effects of the honeycomb labyrinth seal and comb labyrinth seal which are widely adopted in replacements in seal shaft system.Also,the dissertation analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the two kinds of air sealing from the aspects of equipment operation,equipment life cycle,performance degradation reliability analysis of equipment,and equipment operation economic analysis.The analyze based on the comparing of the operation processes between the 20 years comb labyrinth seal and the 6years honeycomb labyrinth seal of the 4X300 MW steam turbine in Pearl River Power Plant,then elucidated the principles and advantages of the two kinds of air seal,and the technical points in shaft end seal transformationThe dissertation firstly introduces the operation modes and the sealing principles of the two kinds of air seal,expounds the characteristics of the two kinds of air seal,and lists the related data measured from the process of operation.Then compared the different situations between numerical simulation and practical operation of the two kinds of air seal.Based on the air seal of 4X300 MW units in Pearl River Power Plant,the analyze about reliability of the degradation of the honeycomb type air seal performance is tested,then drew the theoretical life about it.In the end,combining/excluding the two factors of artificial maintenance and market modification into/from analyze,the economic analysis is carried out based on t he actual value of the steam turbine.
