Study On Site Activation Of Shuangxi Villa Historic Building

China is in the period of high-speed urban development and construction,the city blocks and modern high-rise buildings gradually blurred people's memories of the previous site.As the material expression of social culture and daily life in the past,historic buildings retain the historical context and genius loci of different periods of time,and they are indispensable parts of urban space.In recent years,China has gradually awoken awareness of the protection of historic buildings,but still lack the excavation and practice of the value in historic buildings' activation and reuse.As China's historical and cultural city and South China's gateway,Guangzhou has abundant historical heritage and therefore owns a lot of precious historic buildings.At the same time,as the physical representatives of Linnan culture,historic buildings in Guangzhou are known for their Lingnan architectural style,show the pragmatic,compatible,innovative and environmental characteristics of the Lingnan culture.They represent the social life,regional culture,physical technology and other kinds of characteristics in different periods of time,which are very precious wealth of the Canton area.So,to protect the historic buildings in Guangzhou is to heritage and continue of this architectural branch.This paper uses research methods such as theoretical research,case analysis and comparison,specific practice,interdisciplinary intersection and induction and summarization,putting Shuangxi villa as the study object,analyzes its value and maintenance situation.Based on theoretical study result,the paper summarizes the basic principles and methods of site activation in historic buildings.On the basis of the above,the author discusses the strategy and possibility of the activation of the buildings and reconstruction of the site,putting up suggestions of the consistence development in the future,and also applies the theoretical research results to the repair project of the main building of Sungai Villa.It is hoped that through the combination of theory and practice,a more complete and practical reference will be obtained,which will play a positive role and have good effect on the activation of similar historic buildings site in the future.
