In recent decades with the development of a variety of marine technology structure of the ship power system is required increasingly large. Ship power system includes a vast amount of power devices and massive ship power load. The integrated power system theory is very different from the previous traditional ship power system. These factors will make the ship power system more complex. The number and form of malfunction are greatly increased and it becomes difficult to control. However,with the development of the times,the stability of the ship power system must be put forward higher requirements. Improve stability requirements under the premise of the system becomes more complex, ship power system requires a variety of performance indicators to be more in-depth analysis. Ways to enhance various performance indicators are found. Research institutions around the world have given this area a high degree of concern and have done a lot of research work. Flywheel energy storage system simulation model is established. Improve the overall power system stability by flywheel energy storage system and simulation analysis.Ship integrated power system structure and its features are deeply analysis. Integrated power system is a modular system to function as a basis. Integrated power system is divided into a prime mover, generator,inverter,motor and propeller and other parts. Referring to the various parts of a mathematical model build simulation models in PSCAD/EMTDC simulation software. And then the overall integrated power system simulation model is built out. Different operating characteristics of the integrated power system are analyzed. Various types of short-circuit failure and generator loss of field failures are the key elements. This paper proposes adding flywheel energy storage devices in the integrated power system.Principles and mathematical model of flywheel energy storage device is analyzed. Flywheel energy storage device simulation model was built in the simulation software. Flywheel energy storage device model is added to the integrated power system simulation model. Simulation analysis of integrated power system with flywheel energy storage occurs under variou's fault conditions to get its feasibility for enhancing stability. Effects of short circuit faults and the magnetic loss failures to the stability obtained from the simulation results. Stability of the ship integrated power system has a certain upgrade after adding flywheel energy storage device.This article in the establishment of system simulation models were built in strict accordance with the operating characteristics of the actual system. Some mathematical models have been simplified fore easy handling. However, simulation results under various operating states not severely affected by. Dynamic curves are also the same as the actual operation of the process. Instead of the actual process of change, the system simulation system is entirely feasible. Simulation data and conclusions have some reference value to the stability of the actual operation of the integrated power system.
