The hybrid excitation synchronous generator integrates the advantages of the electric excitation synchronous generator and the permanent magnet synchronous generator.It can solve the problem of adjusting the air gap magnetic field which the permanent magnet synchronous generator is difficult to.However,a majority of the hybrid excitation synchronous generators still have slip rings and brushes,which can reduce the reliability of the system.Looking for a hybrid excitation structure which is simple,brushless and easy to implement is one of the research directions of hybrid excitation synchronous generator.The novel hybrid excitation synchronous generator based on full wave induced excitation(FWIE-HESG)applies the induced excitation to the permanent magnet generator,which operating with a full wave induced excitation control system.In addition,it can realize brushless excitation of the hybrid excitation synchronous machine based on induced excitation.This paper introduces a hybrid excitation synchronous generator based on full wave induced excitation.The structure and basic operating principle of the generator is introduced in detail.The 2D finite element method is used to analyze the no-load characteristics and load characteristics of the generator.In addition,the full wave induced excitation control system of the generator is designed,and the no-load experiment and the load experiment of the prototype have been carried out.The researches mainly cover the following aspects:(1)The structure and basic working principle of the FWIE-HESG have been introduced in detail.The full wave induced excitation control system is an important part of the generator.In addition,the working principle and overall design of the full wave induced excitation control system are introduced in detail.(2)Based on the basic principle of finite element,the 2D finite element model of the FEIE-HESG and the external circuit control model of the excitation current have been introduced in detail,and the working characteristics of the generator have been simulated.Whether the no-load characteristics of the generator or the external characteristics and the regulation characteristics under the load condition,the generator has good working performance.(3)A full wave induced excitation control system of the FWIE-HESG has been designed,which includes the design of the hardware and the design of the software.The hardware circuit selects TMS320F2812 as the control chip,and it consists of the main circuit,the driving circuit,the position detection circuit,the inrush current suppression circuit and the peripheral circuit of the DSP.The software part mainly contains the main program,PWM interrupt program and communication program.(4)Based on the theoretical analysis and simulated analysis to the novel FWIE-HESG,a prototype has been made which is combined with the excitation control system.Then the experiment platform of the prototype has been built.The working characteristics of the generator have been tested.Compared with the simulation results,the experiment results of the no-load characteristics and load characteristics are basically similar and further verify the rationality of the generator in this paper.
