Because the Y-ring has small friction,reliable sealing and compensation for abrasion,it is widely used in hydraulic reciprocating system.The sealing performance of Y-ring are largely depends on the cross-sectional shape of the seal rings,the material properties and structural and operating parameters.However,the efficiency design of Y-ring largely depends on the experience,and the design quality can only be verified by costly experiments.With the development of computer technology and sealing theory,by calculating the working conditions under complete hydraulic reciprocating seal simulation,we can quickly,fast and efficient completion of the sealing device design efficiency.This thesis analyzed the seal performance of Y-ring seal,explored the Efficiency-Reinforcement theory and failure mechanism of hydraulic reciprocating Y-ring seal.Aim at the specific failure modes and failure factors,the corresponding Efficiency-Reinforcement approach for elastic Y-ring design was proposed.They will provid valid theory and methods for Efficiency-Reinforcement design of Y-ring sealThe finite element model for Y-ring seal in ANSYS software was built,based on it,the structural parameters which affected the sealing performance of the Y-ring were analyzed and further optimized its design,the impacts of operate parameters on sealing performance were analyzed through studied the static contact pressure under different sealing pressure,reciprocating speed,and sealing performance index trends,the final optimal operating environment for Y-ring were idenfied.Based on the finite element analysis for Y-ring,its numerical model in seal area was established,which coupled the fluid dynamics,contact mechanics analysis and deformation mechanics analysis.By using the numerical analysis software MATLAB programming,the film thickness,pressure distribution,net leakage and other key parameters reflecting the sealing performance of Y-ring seal were calculated,and determined its lubricate status and leakage situation in seal area.The effects of reciprocating speed,sealing pressure and surface roughness on the sealing performance were studied.The optimized structural obtained in finite element analysis were verified by numerical calculation.They will provid theoretical guidance for Efficiency-Reinforcement design of real Y-ring seal by structure and operating parameters optimized.
