In the digital nuclear power plant, systems and equipment for their own security and benefits are rising, the reliability of man-machine systems increasingly depends on human reliability. Since the introduction of new technologies such affect the way information is presented, procedures and technical systems, human reliability situational environment changes. Resulting in operating behavior patterns operators also will be changed, which could give the operator's operations behavior brings new risks. Digital nuclear power plant operators not only changed the job role, but also different procedures Event-oriented procedure(EOP),while introducing a new State-oriented Procedure(SOP) deal with the accident. In the digital nuclear power plant accident conditions, main control room operators often need to process large amount of information and react quickly and make decisions in a short time. However, long lasting time pressure may produce high mental workload and may further impact the operation performance of diagnosis and monitoring. The performance will affect the functioning and safety of the entire system of a nuclear power plant, even catastrophic accidents. To reduce negative impact on the operator's in a short time, reliable and convenient operation proposed measures to prevent human error. In the digital nuclear power, master operator mental load handling accidents is extremely important in a short time. The purpose of this article is to discuss effect of time pressure on the main control room operators to manipulate mental workload and operation performance on the nuclear power plant SOP(State Oriented Procedures) and digital human machine interface systems. Through site visits in nuclear power plants, the operators' interview, related simulation experiments and other methods, how do them change that the reduction of average execution time of the main control room operators, and the mental load and the operator's mental load and performance. We found that the reduction of average execution time of the main control room operators, and the increase of mental load. Time pressure has a significant impact on the operator's mental load and performance. Operation performance with the mental load drops too low or too high. We found that NASA-TLX and heart rate can reflect objectively operator mental load in a short time, and to establish a multiple regression model 21?-(28)X24.0-60.461 Xy for assessment of dynamic main control room operators' mental load in a short time. The model is not only an objective description of digital control room operators change the mental load in a short time, but also overcome the shortcomings of traditional methods: to improve the accuracy of assessment of mental load. To further strengthen supervision and provide a theoretical basis and technical support for monitoring behavior and mental workload of operator in the digitized main control room of nuclear.
