Vibration signal analysis is the key to fault diagnosis. As traditional test equipment is complex and huge, but the virtual instrument is portable and can be modified. It has become a common phenomenon to replace the traditional equipment with virtual instrument. As a result, based on the hardware platform, a virtual instrument for analysis of the vibration signal and test system characteristics has been designed based on LabVIEW and MATLAB.First of all, on the basis of the research of vibration signal analysis method, the dynamic balance analysis method is studied. Secondly, the overall of the vibration test and analysis system is designed, including the hardware selection and configuration of the test system and the design of the virtual instrument software. Test system hardware mainly includes sensors, data acquisition card, signal conditioning equipment. Hardware selection and configuration of test system has been realized. The virtual instrument software design is based on the LabVIEW software as the development platform and the combination of MATLAB design vibration signal and test system characteristics analysis virtual instrument. The virtual instrument includes test system characteristics analysis, data acquisition and storage, signal generator, fault signal analysis and dynamic balance calculation, etc.. Fault signal analysis mainly includes time domain, frequency domain and time frequency domain analysis, and realizes the signal acquisition, analysis and storage, using the design of virtual instrument to achieve the rotor imbalance and oil film vortex fault feature extraction, and achieve dynamic balance analysis. Finally, the paper made a preliminary study on the fault diagnosis method, compared with EMD, EEMD and CEEMD decomposition method, found that CEEMD is better for the added white noise and the CEEMD decomposition method and the singular value difference spectrum theory combined with the rolling bearing fault feature extraction, verify the validity and accuracy of the method. The research results of this paper have a certain significance to the test system, dynamic balance analysis and fault diagnosis.
