Natural saline soil is a kind of salt and salt salt soil, sulfate saline soil and carbonate saline soil due to evaporation. Natural saline soil has a complex chemical composition, artificial saline soil is generally made by non saline soil and a certain amount of soluble salt, the composition is relatively simple. So there are some differences in engineering properties. The Xinjiang area is mainly based on chloride salt and sulphate saline soil, so this paper makes a comparison between the two kinds of natural saline soil and saline soil in the engineering properties such as solubility, salt expansion, shear strength and so on:(1) In terms of dissolution, the increase of the pressure, the increase of 0-50 kpa pressure, the increase of 50-100 kpa pressure, and the decrease of 100 KPA, and the decrease of the dissolved coefficient, the more water content in the soil, and the decrease of the water content of the soil. Natural sulphate saline soil melting subsidence coefficient of peak, the peak point 200-300kpa; Xi'an Bailuyuan collapsible artificial sulfate saline soil in the Loess with sulfuric acid dissolution subsidence coefficient in 0-100 kpa increased faster in 100-150 kpa after a slight drop and continue to increase, pressure is 400 k Pa reached to the maximum. Natural sulphate saline soil containing salt for 2.2% maximum dissolving subsidence appears in 200 KPa was 0.027 and Xi'an Bailuyuan collapsible artificial sulfate saline soil in the Loess with sulfate containing salt content is 2.5% maximum dissolving subsidence appears in 400 k Pa 0.062.(2) in the salt expansion, the salt content of the soil was 2.65 mm at the end of the five cycles, and the peak value appeared at the end of fifth cycles of 0.43 mm and the peak value appeared at the end of the seventh freeze-thaw cycles of 3.88 mm. The salt expansion rate of natural saline soil is smaller than that of artificial saline soil. The salt expansion rate is 0.44% at the end of the first freeze-thaw cycle, and only 0.86% when the end of the freezing thawing cycle reaches the peak, and the salt expansion rate of the artificial saline soil is 0.54%, and the end of the seventh freeze-thaw cycles reaches 4.85%.(3) in the aspect of anti shear strength, the shear strength of natural saline soil increases with the increase of salt content, and the shear strength of artificial saline soil decreases firstly and then increases with the increase of salt content, and the minimum value of shear strength is 8%-9.36%.
