Recently, with the continuous development of the implement of the China Western Development Strategy, the numbers of the tunnels in the mountains are also rapidly increased in expressway on a national scale. However, the problem of large deformation in the soft rock tunnel is more and more common. As a result of this, the tunnels in expressway are accident-prone, and the main reasons are the complicated geographic conditions of the soft rock tunnel, the shortage of the recognition on the problem of large deformation in the soft rock tunnel by the construction unit and the lack of the guidance of the related technologies and the specific measures. In order to guarantee the quality, duration, construction cost and the operation safety of the project, the research on the problem of the large deformation in the soft rock tunnel and the corresponding solving technologies plays a significant project value.Combined with the Daganxi No. I Tunnel Engineering of Long Yong Expressway,this paper studies the horizontal convergence, the vertical settlement and the corresponding handling technologies of the soft and broken surrounding rock of the tunnels based on the numerical simulation software and the on-site monitoring data,and the main contents are as follows:(1) Analyzing the broken types, formation mechanism and the influencing factors of the large deformation of the soft rock tunnel with the reference of the relevant documents and materials at home and aboard;(2) Selecting the typical fracture surface to stimulate the data of the construction and analyzing the similarities and differences of influence of the actually adopted benching tunneling method and the reserved core land method in the designing letter on the soft rock tunnel with shallow buried basis on the section with large deformation of ZK66+790~ZK66+815of the left line of Daganxi No. I.(3) Describing the implementation of the on-site monitoring technology and analyzing the monitoring data and making a discussion on the mechanism of the large deformation of the soft rock tunnel with shallow buried basis.(4) Making a conclusion on the main reasons for the large deformation of the softrock tunnel and making a discussion on the disposal plans on the section with large deformation of the Daganxi No. I Tunnel Engineering of Long Yong Expressway, and giving the strategies and notes on the tunnel construction under the conditions of the soft rock and analyzing the plans.The application of the achievements of this paper provides some theoretical basis for construction of the Daganxi No. I Tunnel Engineering of Long Yong Expressway and other similar underground constructions and also offers the designing and constructing experience for the tunnel engineering under the similar geographic conditions.
