With the rapid development of highway construction and increasing number of highway tunnels, more and more largr-span shallow-depth highway tunnels in soft surrounding rock have been appeared. Most of these tunnels are facing difficulties such as large-span, shallow-depth, complex of geological conditions, higher requirement of construction. So summarize and research the construction and monitoring technology about this genera tunnel on time;explore different kinds of bad phenomena procreative reason;grip successful or failing experience from factum est' tunnel;supply important reference material and decision gist for newly-built engineering are very necessary for economically, highly quality to construct highway tunnel. Based on the Dongshan-tunnel of the Shannan new area in Huainan city, carry out in-depth approach about tunnel advance barring strengthen technology; carry out in-depth approach such as the theory,executive point,practical application and so on about NATM. Introduce monitoring course and means about tunnel construction, carry out the research about information 's feedback and forecast prediction; carry out the simply research about data processing and analyses; in the end compendious introduce the method of construction and monitoring measure course in dongshan tunnel, Emphases expound the analyses of monitoring measure result and its directing or assigning role in progress,and make observe about bad phenomenas which were produced in progress. The research production not only successful apply to practice engineering project , also possess important instruction sense in design, construction and monitoring for similar engineering project.
