TiO2 photocatalytic oxidation is not only a technology of advanced oxidation,is also a efficient and pollution-free method of waste water treatment.However,common TiO2 catalyst have some disadvantages,for example less utility of sunlight and recombination of photogenereated electrons and holes.Microwave oxidation technology is also a new water treatment method,and microwave assisted UV/TiO2photocatalytic decoloration?MW/UV/TiO2?will have a good future in water treatment.Bright blue is one of the synthetic organic dyes,and it also belongs to the refractory organic compound.It is not only used in printing and dyeing industry,but also is used in food industry.If a large amount of such waste water is discharged into the water body,it will destroy the water ecosystems.Therefore,microwave assisted UV/TiO2 photocatalytic degradation were used to decolor brilliant blue in this study.The study can provide theoretical reference and technical support for treatment of dying industrial waste water treatment.Research was performed on treating brilliant blue by microwave assisted UV/TiO2.The photocatalytic degradation reaction for Brilliant blue with TiO2 was first studied.Then,the effects of decomposing brilliant blue by microwave assisted UV/TiO2 were conducted,such as TiO2 concentration,initial brilliant blue concentration,aqueous solution pH and trapping agent.Finally,the model of degradation kinetics was carried out.The reaction rate constant was calculated.Experimental results displayed that the efficiency was 79%under the optimum condition which initial brilliant blue concentration,aqueous solution pH and time were 8 mg/L,6 and 0.5 h,respectively.The efficiency was 69%under the optimum condition which initial brilliant blue concentration,aqueous solution pH and time were 8 mg/L,5 and 0.5 h,respectively.It is observed that brilliant blue ratios caused by MW/UV/TiO2 is 10%higher than that caused UV/TiO2.In the comparison of TiO2/UV and MW/TiO2/UV,it can be concluded that MW improve the degradation rate of bright blue and enhanced value of pH.H2O2 and Fe3+improved the efficiency of the photocatalytic reaction and CH3OH reduced the effieciency of the degradation.The reaction was pseudo first order degradation kinetics.The rate constant is 0.0525min-1 under the optimum condition.The equation of the apparennt reaction rate constants?k?:k?28?.008[C0]-.07073[Ti O2].0224[H?10?]-.00854?C0?8 mg/L,TiO2?0.5 g/L,pH?5?;k?28?3.14[C0]-.07073[Ti O2]0-.214[H?10?]0.2004?C0?8 mg/L,TiO2?0.5 g/L,pH?5??...
